Re: LSR Further Processing Team

I have received a letter that my Application is with the LSR Further Processing Team. Does anyone know what this LSR abbreviation mean? And what exactly they do there? (I applied in 2008) I really do not know what the fuss all about! If they say your Application is with LSR further processing team,...

thanks waiting2birish. When they asked for additional documents, I thought that it is close to the finish line. I was hoping that this means they started 'processing' (not sure what that really means in this context) 2012 applications. As per your explanation, there is a long way to go. At least, it...

As it looks like, there is no definite correct answer here. I The following is my suggestion. If I were you, I would apply, and provide all the documents to prove to INIS that you do not require state aid to survive. I would put my and my wife's documents and even a copy of the passport of my child ...

Is your wife a citizen yet - or has she applied for citizenship. My question is to verify that your original stamp 3 was awarded based on your dependance on your wife. While self sufficiency is a requirement, I assume that being related to an citizen can help in the decision process. This again, is ...

Based on my experience in applying for irish passport a few months back: You do NOT have to send the ORIGINAL passport (of the previous country) for the new Irish passport application. I sent a copy of all the documents mentioned in the application and the original birth, marriage and naturalization...

This is interesting to em as well.

Has anyone tried the Stamp 0 route?

http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Stamp%20 ... mp%200.pdf

Again, it is not clear-cut - however there is a mention of "humanitarian grounds" although, I do not know what it entails.

Thanks

What you have is just an acknowledgement letter -that you should have ideally received in a week or a month's time. 7 months is very unusual. when you applied, did you send your application by registered post?

I think it might be a good idea to keep a summarized track of progress based on invitations for ceremony on a spreadsheet.

What to do if I lose my GNIB card?

If I lose my GNIB card:

Should I report it to Garda office and file a complaint before going to GNIB for replacement.
OR
Do I go directly to GNIB for a replacement?

Is there a process that I should follow?

Thanks
