That's a shame that the useful data in those posts were lost. There is almost nothing left on this post, which makes me wonder what we are achieving by those deletions. Time to delete this one now I suppose. Do you mean this one? http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?p=777468&highlight=...

you see... the only reason i applied through solicitor was because I had repeated been told by INIS and by Immigration office in burgh quay that stamp 2 does not qualify for reckonable residency no matter what. And i used a friend who is a solicitor to file it on my behalf to try to convince them. ...

Divide it by 52 for an approximate figure. It doesn't have to be exact.

If I were you, I would approach the Irish Embassy in India directly OR if far away from the embassy, call them and ask about options. As long as you can prove that it is an error, I assume it shouldn't be too hard. I would approach the embassy immediately with details to prove that it is really an e...

No fee is required if you are the spouse of an Irish citizen AND are renewing the residency (GNIB card) based on that relationship. GNIB card and the Visa are given free of charge. I am a similar case and have renewed these recently. That's how I know. If you are sending the application by post, you...

Although GNIB office encourages residency renewal in the final month only, I know for sure that they can extend it earlier. If I were you, GNIB would be my first port of call and explain the situation to them.

Thanks so much for replying to me Brigid. So the EUTR visa we need to do online before submitting docs to the embassy, is that right? So seeing as i have never been to Ireland before, i really dont know where to move to. Do we go for the obvious, Dublin? But then i guess that would be expensive whe...

Citizenship Application: Updating change of status

Hi Guys, Looking for a bit of advice: My Citizenship application is being processed at the moment. However, my current passport expired and I got a new one and updated my GNIB status as well. Got the GNIB stamp 4 for the next 5 years! Do you think that I should proactively update the processing team...

Why do we require a a GNIB number, or a different driving license number when we have a PPS number which is a unique personal identifier? This is also the case with UK, US and many other countries! Why can't the GNIB card be used as an identity card (that is probably is most verified one) while your...

A holder of an Residence Card does not need a visa to travel from anywhere in the world to any EU member state (except the UK, but that is in fight). The reason Stamp 4 holders require a visa, is because the Irish govt says they do. Simple as that. It is simply policy, seemingly designed to deter t...

I had raised this question to my immigration officer when i got my stamp 4. His answer was that ' Visa is only a travel document checking your eligibility to travel to and enter a country legally. GNIB card, stamp 4 or not, is a residency document. This is only issued if you want to be a resident o...

I think part of the problem lies in the unbidden, non-removable appellations of Senior or Guru that are automatically applied to anyone who posts often. I have no desire to be named in this manner and would appreciate a way to disable it. Posting 1000 thumbs-up or smiley emoticons means you get to ...

Thanks for that. A quick question to moderators. Some forums (none of them rivals I can assure you) like XDA Developers have what they call a 'Thanks Metre.' It counts the number of times a person is thanked. It isn't fool proof but it is a better gauge for expertise or 'being genuinely useful'. Cou...

Thanks sushdmehta for your reply. You and I know that the title given to a member is based on the number of posts. I have received a letter that my Application is with the LSR Further Processing Team. Does anyone know what this LSR abbreviation mean? And what exactly they do there?
