Hi Guys :) I just got my passport delivered half an hour ago with my new ILR stamp. I can't tell you how pleased I was to see my passport again. I am rather surprised that my timeline is rather shorter than others on here. I have no clue why? Here's wishing all those who're waiting my best and I sin...

ah_kassem can you please re-calculate waiting times for the pending applications, I think they're not entirely accurate...mine should be 7.5 weeks not 8...and similarly people who posted a day or two around 9th Aug will be 7.5 weeks too....I didn't get a chance to check subsequent ones. Congrats to ...

Adam, You have absolutely no cause for concern in my opinion. Both the drafts for you and your partner were made payable to "The Home Office". If I had done the same as you on my bankers draft, I wouldn't let the issue of whether they've been encashed or not bother me at all, honestly! Plu...

Hello, I have good news to report back. In summary, I just received confirmation from UKBA that my Bankers draft was cleared for payment on the same date as my acknowledgement letter was raised on 12th Aug. The application has then been sent to Liverpool to one of the settlement teams for considerat...

A draft is more or less used for a service where you may as well use cash ( but cannot send by post) and acceptance is guaranteed. yeah sure thing gidoc i agree about using a draft instaed of cash coz acceptance is guaranteed and that was exactly why I opted to use it and I would've happily not nee...

Hi fandango, I came across a post of yours above in this thread where you were inquiring whether paying by Banker's Draft at a PEO would clear it the same day or would be like a cheque. My query is however about the wording of who you got it made out to - Based on your post you said you had it made ...

Dont know Hunter what to suggest, it could be the case that I am the one who's made a mistake. I dont know what difference it would make if it's Home Office only or Home Office Leave to Remain. Yeah Adam, drop me an update after you come back from the bank, although I think you followed instruction...

Banker's Draft Wording Mess Up - PLEASE ADVISE MODS/SENIORS

Probationary Citizenship & Long Residence 10 yrs Rule

Hello everyone, I was just wondering...if someone were to qualify under the Long Residence 10 year rule after July 2011, will they still be eligible for ILR or do they get caught by the new Earned/Probationary Citizenship system that may be introduced in 2011. If this is true then can someone outlin...
