Apostille you have to have for any document if it is going to be used abroad. Your documents (like birth certificate, certificate of nationality, marriage certificate and etc) will be recognized abroad if have Apostille.
Ghosh! You have to check this very carefully. As how is possible you got married abroad if you have already been legally married? (What is meaning of secretly?) They did not ask you provide "Marriage Capacity" ? or whatever is the name of that document what proves you are single or availab...
You are getting married in Japan, so you have to know what they ask in case one party is foreigner. You are getting marry under their law and regulations. So all what you need your gf can ask and check better then to have problems when you arrive there.

Geez! I hope you will sort that issue out. I was almost in same situation and even have been asked how did I dare to change my surname...to be even worst that happened in my home land and waited more then two months to get new documents. Life is all about Live & Learn.
Isn't there a option/or in applying form u are asked what language u want to use during the interview? I think if your English is not good then you can ask for translator to be present and give you a help. JMHO I have question:" Where do you take a test? and Is that a must even you speak/unders...

I think if you marry foreigner then register office where you got married should send one marriage certificate to the country of your spouse (to register office where she was born) that is the one way to register marriage. At least that was in my case. Second option sho...
