I just called them on above number. the staff only tell me they received my biometric information, but can't let me know anything else. I dont think too many people sit this number, I called and a lady(oriental most likely) answered and suggested me to call back after 14 weeks. I called again after...

Anybody got approval without background check from employer?

I checked with my employer today (Multinational IT company), there has been no background checks on my until now. Did my biometrics 5 weeks back.

Has anybody ( particularly from Large well known companies ) been approved Tier 1 initial without background checks ??

Yes I have enrolled into a college but my course starts in Feb

while I understand my application will be valid and I see no changes to rules post 23rd dec which prohibit me to change my status when I arrive there

Can the circumstances go against me?...

Is it ok to switch from Tier 4 (student visa) to Tier 1 (General, not PSW) before the completion of my degree?..

I have enough points on my previous earnings.

I Guess we can apply within 12 months of studies

I didnt get payslips for that, BUT I got a contract letter saying I will get $100 for a day for my duration of stay in US
