Also, would anyone be able to let me know if B.Com. from Bangalore University is a recognized degree (it shows up in the PBS calculator on the UKBA website)? Many thanks, in advance! gordon my first hand experience with Tier 1 with my employer was not good. I asked if they would pay for my existing visa since I had stayed with the company for 2 years. mtuckersa, what do you think of the blue version? I think you will find its a much better petition. We could add a line at the end suggesting we are open to consultation as well? much better, less emotionally charged and sounds more professional yes adding a line at end saying we are open to consul...

so is this coming out? 'but we believe the existing Tier1 extension criteria will be efficient in dealing with this minority' as I dont think this is a true statement. UKBA will read that and say in their heads "But thats not true, how is keeping the same rules going to filter out the 30%"...

Re: IMPORTANT

you CANT write this 'but we believe the existing Tier1 extension criteria will be efficient in dealing with this minority' as the existing Tier 1 extension criteria does NOT deal with this minority, it allows them to extend doing multiple jobs etc. You either take it out or propose a solution to fi...

Your e-petition is like a WARNING to UKBA between the lines.

Rather suggest a SOLUTION to the EXTENSION CRITERIA, they will be more receptive!

They want the minority Tier 1 holders out and to some extent alot of us dont feel they have earned their way on the Tier 1 route.

Suggest a solution.

a few things this sentence is too long Now there may be a minority of Tier-1 (General) arrivals that have failed to find skilled work during this recession and may have been forced to do odd jobs to support their families, but it must be noted that they are still not breaking any visa conditions. It makes sense the way you explained it. I also calculated that they will reach the cap before December starts - just kind of wished that they hadn't. my calculation tells me if you havent applied by end of december you will not make the 31st March. Assuming there is panic application this may even...

Re: salary band for Tier 1 extension

Since I have applied for Tier 1 after April 2010, now during extension in 2012, I will have lesser points if I continue in my current salary band. Salaries above 50-55k are not so common, and employers anyhow do not pay so much if they see that my Tier 1 is valid only for 2 yrs. Do we foresee that ...

Time between Tier 1 acceptance and entry clearance

When I first applied in march 2008 I got a letter back from Workpermit.com that basically said I was successful and that I had 6 months to get entry clearance before entering the UK. They only stamped the visa in my passport when I went for entry clearance(which was several months later) and did all...

actually its looks like your points will still be awarded depending on the date you sent in your application. So if it is sitting with UKBA for 3 or 4 months it doesnt matter as they will issue points depending on the date you applied/submitted the documents. Is this correct? Although trying to plan...

It closed on the 20th October = 10 days before end of month

It closed on 10th November = 10 days before before previous month

According to my calcs December will therefore not be OPEN, it will CLOSE before it even opens.
