The limit for PBS Tier 1 (General) applications has been reached for November 2010. You may find December 1st reopens and closes the NEXT day because they still trying to proc...

sanjacs is right!! be very careful. they will allow the mother to leave the country with your child even if you get an interdict(think its call that) which costs £2000 to stop her taking the child out. So you will waste £2000 on something that wont work. The fact that the mother is a foreigner all...

The immigration cap has so far affected Tier 2 visa applications more than Tier 1 visa applications. Some businesses have been left in a situation where they are unable to sponsor anyone at all on a Tier 2 visa.

I think Tier 1 individuals probably pay more tax than Tier 2 as they probably earn higher salaries. Ok I am generalising here but I doubt govt would cut off the hand that feeds them

Re: Hi
No, the preference for companies is still Tier-2 for obvious reasons. They are actively lobbying for protecting Tier-2 & not Tier-1. Effectively this means, if it came to it, Tier-1 could be sacrificed in favour of Tier-2.
Govt never does the obvious, so expect Tier 2 to be slashed

Tier 1 dependants may not be able to qualify 4 ILR in future

How is this going to work? So if you already in under HSMP you can still get ILR but any new applicants NO?? Anyone who can shed a bit more light on this? Also what effectively will happen after you have done 5 years on a Tier 1 visa, can you go straight on ILR(see 2nd paragraph below) or Probationa...

A good way to determine how early you can apply is to use what I have mentioned in the post above but do it in EXCEL In excel - Put the start date of your Tier 1 visa(STAMPED in your passport when you entered UK, 3 year visa) eg. 15/11/2007 - On next line, put the date you posted your extension appl...

Just gone through a couple of the latest postings for extensions and it seems pretty standard now that your START DATE for your extension is approximately 14-16 DAYS AFTER you posted you application. So to make sure you get 5 years ILR, Take the date your posted your application for extension and ad...

You must apply before your current leave expires. Although you will be ...

How long can you leave it before you apply for a Tier 1 extension, my expiry date is 27th august 2011, can I apply on the 26th August 2011? Yeah i believe this loophole has been closed, too many people taking advantage of this and 'the message' has been put 'out there' to start issuing visas from the date the application is accessed/approved. I entered the UK 3 weeks after I got my Tier 1 visa so some people may have a little bit of roo...
