Re: Correct application form for child whose mother has ILR and father has British Citizenship

Thank you so much for your prompt response. Really appreciate it! The difficulty you might have is that your husband is not resident and working in the UK, it not present and settled. Is that a problem even if the child is dependent on me (ILR)? My husband cannot change base from India at the moment...

Correct application form for child whose mother has ILR and father has British Citizenship

Hello everyone, My husband, originally an Indian citizen, got his ILR in 2011 and got his British citizenship in 2012. I obtained my ILR in 2013 and decided not to pursue British citizenship. I renewed my ILR last year and hold an Indian passport. We had applied for a Work Permit-dependent visa for ...

2. Another issue I see with studying on Tier1-dependent is that if my husband's visa status changes anytime during the course, i'm not sure how that would affect me. He would be applying for ILR next year in May. If, by any chance, his application gets rejected, i may have to leave the country befor...

I did email them yesterday, but haven't heard back so far. I'll definitely post their reply here whenever I get that. I'm actually in a dilemma. As I understand it, for switching from HSMP to Tier-1 dependent also, I'll have to apply from my home country. Please refer to this page . Please advise if...

When's the earliest I can enter the UK on Tier4 visa?

Hi, I have an admission offer from a UK university for a postgraduate course that starts in Oct'2010. When's the earliest I can enter the country (UK) if I apply for a Student (Tier 4) visa now? I intend to travel a little early to make accommodation arrangements etc. Can I travel as early as a mont...

Thank you, that was really useful! I have another question though. I saw this page - http://intsupport.glam.ac.uk/non-tier-4/ - which says - " You should be aware that immigration officials you encounter, for example, if you leave the UK and re-enter at any point during your stay might want to ...

Can I study Masters on Tier1 or Tier1-Dependent visa?

Hi, I have got an admission offer from a top UK university for a post-graduate (Masters) taught course, which starts in Oct'2010. I'm currently in the UK on HSMP visa, which expires next year in Jun'2011 (some 2-3 months before the course ends). My husband has a Tier-1 visa too. My question is - can...
