I read the guidance and seems we can claim points for SMP but just wanted to double confirm. I can go beyond 12 month but thought ...

I am also 100% sure about your visa extension beyond 5 years because recently my husband got Tier 2 ICT visa for next 2 years which takes his total stay for more than 5 years and he has also extended multiple times and initially came on work permit.

By going through the post

seems like switching is possible from Tier2 ICT to Tier 2 General if your entry clearance is before April 2011.

It means if somebody switches for Tier2 ICT to Tier 2 general assuming eligible for in-country switching, prospective employer needs to apply for Unrestricted COS. Is it that unrestricted COS doesnt comes under the maximum limit of 20,700 but restricted COS comes? Even if the monthly limit of COS is...

I think increased baggage in AirIndia is allowed if your journey starts in UK(means UK -Ind and then Ind-UK) but not in the otherway round!

Correct me if I am wrong. Suppose I complete my 5 years of continuous and lawful stay in UK under Tier2 ICT granted before 6th April 2010 but as my company is not ready to give me letter required for settlement, I decide to join a new company under Tier2 General and on first day I can get letter fro...

One more follow up question as I think I am also in the same boat. Suppose you get a sponsor for Tier 2 general and join a new company how much sooner can you apply for an ILR?

Query regarding Tier2 to ILR

Hi,

My husband is in Tier 2 since Jan'10. Before that he was in work permit from Jan'09 to Dec'09. My query is - for ILR whether his 1 year in work permit will be counted as he applied Tier 2 from India though there was no gap between work permit and Tier 2.

Regards!
