Got my visa yesterday delivered through blue dart !!! Thanks be to God

It took 40 working days exactly from July 16th to Sept 9th 2010 for the visa to be issued.

They didn't ask for medicals to be done.

Bhaz..... i think you should call the vfs and find out what to do and what is the next step you should take!!!
12 weeks is the cut off point where you should be getting back your passport. So give them a call.

Yes, we have submitted P60 and wage slips and I have a savings account of 25,000 fixed deposit in my name. But i am not the sponsor so was worried about that. Does it matter who has the huge savings???

hi...i heard they mostly call and check at your work place if you are applying from Pakistan?? is that true? I know people who got visas and they never even bothered calling them at work. Also does anyone know if you are on a temporary contract job if this will count as a negative point?

processing times in mumbai seem to be taking the same long time. I heard it depends if your case is complicated like divorce/overstaying/job etc

any idea if anyone has gotten there visa less than a month. I have heard of someone who got it in 2 weeks.

hi i actually called the VFS and enquired about the TB and health check. They said anyone settling for more than 6months in UK needs to get it done. Even in chennai.
