Traffic offense documentation

What traffic offenses do we have to declare and what documentation is required? I am applying from US and have the following: 1) Speeding ticket (2 points) 2) Rear-ended another car (2 points) 3) Driving with expired car registration (0 points) All of the fines were paid in due time but the record w...

Shaa, did you include the letters from your client originally? It's not strictly required in the guidance but seems like best practice when you're self-employed or a contractor...

Thanks so much for your help guys. I was also able to find this very detailed document from the UKBA detailing the rationale behind the decision. Page 8 is helpful and shows that you are in fact right. [url]http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/aboutus/consultations/limits-on-non-e...

ukswus, are you sure the 5400 number wasn't the amount they're going to grant going forward as opposed to how many they have granted?

Re: Application success rate/trying to determine new cap imp

"Given that about 5,400 main applicants were approved in the 9 months before June of this year, it means that about 7,200 main applicants were approved in 12 months before June." ukswus, that would be great news for people that know they qualify I suppose. Can I ask you where you found the...

Application success rate/trying to determine new cap impact

So I found on the UKBA website that in 1Q 2010, an average of 2750 people per month across the world applied for a Tier 1. Anyone have any sense of what % of applications get approved. Is it somewhere near 90%, 75%, 50%, 25%??? I'm confident I qualify but if there is typically a high success rate, t...

Last minute earnings for Tier 1

Would there be anything suspicious or wrong with declaring earnings from a new source at the very end of the period? I was salaried for first 9 months, and am now working as a contractor. I stopped working end of June and thought I was in good shape, but with new 80 point requirement I'm now short. ...

Re: Timing of previous earnings for Tier 1 (urgent)

Thanks Aspirant. To be clear though, the bank statement shows a credit in July and we don't have any documentary evidence that it is for June. Would a letter from her client (since she is contractor) or some sort of invoice from them be enough evidence to prove the salary is for June? If she has to ...

Can healthcare benefits be included as earnings for Tier 1?

Can we count healthcare benefits as part of earnings? They are not included in my pay but are a non-cash benefit per my contract. While they aren't included in my pay stub, they are clearly outlined in the pay history my employer printed up for me. I do, however, pay no tax myself on these benefits.

Timing of previous earnings for Tier 1 (urgent)

With the new requirement of 80 points my girlfriend is now very much on the borderline for a Tier 1 visa. The key difference could be how the HO recognizes timing of earnings. She worked at a job as an outside contractor through 25 June but didn't receive June payment until 22 July. Does anyone know...
