Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

Hi all, I have got my ILR approval letter and BRP on the same day. I had applied in the second week of April this year, along with 3 dependents. The overall process took 4 months and 3 weeks. In the last 10 days of June, I had attempted a Premium Upgrade but was declined with the statement "Unf...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

Post application: ILR SET (O) Tier 1 Date of application: 1-April-2016 E-mails: Never received. Biometrics given within April as soon as the letter was received. Attempted to upgrade to premium service but they told me that I am not eligible for the upgrade. Does anyone know what the "eligibili...

Re: Non-cash earnings on payslip?

Thanks mr_mar! I can see your point and I guess I am worried without any valid reason. Your are right that the gross salary should be used for points calculation and the net salary is used for matching with bank statements.

Re: Tier 1 (General) Dependant Extension (Newborn)

Thanks vinny, once again! You are a great help on this forum. I have finally decided to apply in person for my self and other dependants and then apply for my son (born here) separately as soon as we receive our BRP's. This will also save us some money as I would apply for him via post. Do you see a...

Re: Non-cash earnings on payslip?

It's on the payslip but not part of the cash transferred to my bank (because these were vouchers; tax paid by the company), and hence, it's not reflected on the bank statement. That's why it worries me -- they ask two sources of earnings proof!

Non-cash earnings on payslip?

My company awards taxable vouchers based on performance (kind of like performance linked bonus). These vouchers are mentioned on the payslip and the tax is deducted just like salary. Can I include these vouchers in my calculation of earnings? The reason I am asking this question is because the "...

Re: Tier 1 (General) Dependant Extension (Newborn)

Thanks vinny. We would be flying out to attend a wedding, and thus, I need to apply for my son's visa. The only questions are what's the process if I want to apply at the same time, and what forms to use if I would apply for his visa separately.

Re: ISA, is this considred to be a benefit?

NHS and Free Basic Education are definitely available to everyone as these are considered basic rights of the residents. There are other benefits, based on NI contribution, which we can also avail. There is a definite list of what "public funds" are restricted. You can find it here: https:...

Tier 1 (General) Dependant Extension (Newborn)

Hi, I am on a Tier 1 (General) visa which needs to be extended before April 2015 deadline. I already have had my first extension a couple of years ago, along with 2 of my dependants (my wife and my daughter). My query is regarding the application process for my son who was born here in the UK; he is...

Re: ISA, is this considred to be a benefit?

I don't think so. There is a definite list of what constitutes as a public fund and ISA is not there. However, let's see if someone with more knowledge has a better answer.

Re: Tier 1 (general) ILR, 100 days late entry to UK

You MUST apply before 6th of April. There will be no more extensions given even if your visa was valid afterwards.

I guess the extension would be given for 3 years (some people say 2 years, and I am not sure about that).

Tier 1 Dependent Tenancy Contract

Hi, I've arranged for a 2 bed accommodation after getting a job. Now, I want my family to join me. I believe that in order to show that I have accommodation for my family, the dependent's application should be accompanied with my tenancy contract. However, there is one clause in the contract which i...
