Congratulations!! Please can you let us know under what route you qualified for ILR. I see you have mentioned having a Work Permit and also mentioned you were one of those who lost out when SEGS was taken off the settlement route. Were you ever a SEGS participant?? Thanks in advance! I was on SEGS ...

ILR success at Sheffield PEO - 01/06/2011

Because this forum has been helpful in obtaining immigration related information, I want to share my experience of applying for ILR at Sheffield today. Background: I was applying under work permit, after spending 5 years of qualifying period. Obtained the original permit in end of June 2006, and was...

has someone in a similar situation applied recently for ILR? My previous pay was below the closest SOC code. My employer awarded me a performance based pay rise (effective 1st May 2011) that happened to coincide with the recent salary threshold criteria set by HO. So my current salary is above the r...

@waijei2 If you are paid monthly, then you'll just have to apply without the raised payslip, but I would suggest consulting a lawyer. If you are paid bi-weekly, then you can just pospone the application until after April 29th when you get your next payslip. I get paid monthly and increased salary w...

What do you mean? Clearly mentioned in the guidance . The guidance refers to ILR applications based on Tier 1. What about ILR applications based on work permit? Is signature/stamp required too? the link is to a pdf file that has the heading "SECTION 1 – SETTLEMENT – TIER 1", so obviou...

change of job title/responsibilities

Sorry if this has been asked/answered elsewhere...I did a search but could not find it.

How does an employer inform UKBA of change in job title and/or responsiblities for a work permit holder (old style) if the employer is not on the list of sponsors (new style)?

Work Permit - Settlement - SET(O)

Like other WP holders (non-tier), I have also been caught by surprise because of recent changes made by HO for SET(O). My job title is not mentioned in the list of occupations. There are two of them that closely match my responsibilities, and my base salary is slightly below but close to the one wit...

ILR application (Tier 2 v/s work permit)

Hi. This is my first post on these forums looking for advice. My query might have been answered somewhere but I did a search and could not find it. I am a non-EU citizen on a 5 year work permit which expires in June 2011. It is not Tier 2 but the older version of it which did not require companies t...
