Re: EEA family member Residence card - Name change

Hi

We are in a similar situation, my wife has updated here passport with her married name and we are currently outside the UK, has anyone put this to the test?
She will be traveling back with her old passport so I am not overly concerned about this, but know how picky the border agent can be.

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Hi All My wife's PR card arrived yesterday :D , 5 months (about 150 days), which seems in line with other forum members. I thought it would take longer as I have being self employed as a sole trader and as a LTD for the last 3 years and had quite a few employers prior to that, making the amount of d...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Hi Sid costas We are still waiting for my wifes PR so no experience with that, but with the RC she has being told to use the Non-EU queue when I am no accompanying here, though I think she still uses the EU queue without trouble. But this is the usual inconsistent behaviour you get from UKBA, clearl...

Re: Question on requesting return of passport (How soon?)

What is the correct way to request your passport back? Can you just mention it in the covering letter or is there a specific procedure? Go to the online form for returning documents, takes about 10 days. I've been wondering about the passport return also. I submitted the online application for mine...

My wife recieved the RC on a photocopied A4 paper as well, if I had not opened the envolope from the UKBA I would question it the document is real! my guess is the because of budget cuts the UKBA ran out of the non-eu national cards and resorted to the photocopy. I got mine as a eu national on a blu...

Hi something that you might want to take into account if you have the money is the time it takes to process the EEA route. At least the way we did it we applied for a Family Permit in Japan, issued after 10 days and now are applying for the residency card in the UK which will take 6 month by the loo...

Yea it has to be your passport.
but if you need it back give them a call and request it back, give yourself a good 15-20 working days for them to send it, not the 10 they say on the website, and if it has not being returned give them a call every day until they tell you that have sent it.
