raam123 Yes, that's why I made sure I sent a Postal Order and NOT a cheque, because I didn't want there to be any reason for a delay. Worse case scenario then I have considered asking a friend to go to my flat to check for mail after my departure and sending me any mail from Vodafone to my fiance's ...

Thanks raam123 I spoke with Vodafone last night and they confirmed that they can provide an itemized list of numbers I've texted to. Luckily because my phone is properly registered in my name I was informed that I need to enclose a £10 postal order, 2 letters sent to me at my registered address and...

Thanks raam123

Didn't think about that. I'm also with Vodaphone and send and receive endless text messages back and fore to/from Canada so I could try that too. Hope I haven't left it too late to do this though.

Sorry, forgot to mention why we're in a panic about this situation. It's because I read the following on another website :- Intervening Devotion; If the applicant and sponsor have been separated for a lengthy period of time before the application is submitted (for example, longer than 3 or 4 months)...

Just got back with certified copies of every page in my passport. I also requested that the copies be in colour. Very pleased at the cost of just £5. It was a lot simpler than I expected, I just hope all the other things on my 'to do' list will be as easy!

Letters of support from friends, do they help?

Do letters of support from friends or family hold any weight in settlement applications for fiance visas or are they ignored by ECOs? I'm thinking of asking my best friend to do one for us as she's known me for over 20 years and has met my fiance. The reason this has suddenly become urgent is becaus...

Thanks BatleyKhan. Took your advice and spoke to a solicitor today. She's going to certify every page in my passport and only charge me £5, so I got very lucky!!

Oh dear. I can see many people have read this post, but there have been no replies.

Can someone please give me some feedback here, even if it's only to say we should pay to get legal advice about how to answer this question about convictions.

Many thanks

Thanks for the replies. Will phone a solicitor first thing Monday morning to get this settled immediately. I'm hoping that it can be done in a day or so, and it's not a long protracted procedure. Do you think I should also get them to certify the pages that have my entry stamps to Canada, to add pro...

Notarised copy of my passport

Hi everyone

Re Fiance visa application to be made in Canada, instead of getting a copy of my UK passport notarised (which I believe will be very expensive) is it OK to get a certified copy instead??

Cheers

Fiancé visa – Arrest but no Conviction: will this be a pr

Hi everyone. I’ve read this forum with great interest and have managed to get most of my questions answered. However, there are two things we’re stuck on and would really appreciate any constructive feedback. My Fiancé is about to put in his online application – Settlement VAF4A (he’s been ...
