Employee had another job but quit. Mention in cover letter?

One of my employees quit his second job a few days after he started working with us. However, the fps says that it's his second job and obviously, this does not update later. He works full time with us. Shall I write explaining that now he only has one job in the cover letter? Or will it look odd? I...

Re: Worker on ILR (no passport)

They expect new job applicants to have more . Interesting, considering that one can continue working and provide proof of right to work using an expired British or EU passport. HO accept old-style passports even though these no longer allow travel. The HO document on illegal working control states ...

Re: Firm fee

A company is a separate legal entity and, technically, it can continue with someone else as director/shareholder/etc. From that point of view, I don't see how you can pay from the business account. But then again, you can put it in your contract like someone on this page did.

Re: TIER 1 EXTENSION APPLICANTS PLEASE JOIN HERE

Does the current appointments page available on the beta site of Companies House count as the current appointments report? If not, do we need to phone them to request one? Also, what about the filings page? Is it ok to send the print-out from the beta site of Companies House? Forget the Beta site. ...

Re: Birth Certificate (no passport)

The birth certificate is only acceptable as long as it shows the name of at least a British parent. This is because you don't become British if born in the uk, unless at least one of your parents was British. Hi Zimba The birth certificate only shows the place of birth of parents, not their nationa...

Re: Urgent advise needed on extension please.

I am unsure about the first question as to whether you need to make the £50K investment. However, if you have transferred money to the business which is not share capital (as that would have to be reported to Companies House within 4 weeks of share capital issue), your option would be director's loa...

Combination of share capital and director's loan

I am using a combination of share capital and director's loan. Would this be ok for claiming £50K investment? Also, do I need to show that I got tier 1 under £50K requirement or will they have this data? Also, how detailed does the director's loan agreement have to be? I saw one sample on here by so...

Re: Parking ticket

Thank you for your replies.
I am asking because it was a ticket issued by the local council, not a private firm.
I want to appeal the penalty but the issue might not be resolved in time for extension.

Extension

Should a parking ticket related penalty be declared on the extension form? If so, will it significantly reduce the chances of getting an extension?

Thank you for your help.

Re: (TIER 1 Entrepreneur) EMPLOYEE REQUIREMENT ADVISE PLZ

Vmai, you job title and the nature of the business both have to be of graduate level. For example, a business development manager at a restaurant would not be acceptable for the PSW route, whereas a business development manager at a website designing business would be acceptable.

Re: Proof of investment for Tier 1 Extension

For the purpose of extension, you only need to show the amount that you have injected into the business as share capital or unsecured director's loan as investment. I don't think you need to show investment in the form of each and every expense, as an applicant cannot clearly attribute the amount sp...

That should be fine as Romania is now a full member of the EU.

By the way, does anyone know if, after extension, the applicant must fulfill the job creation criteria once again if a two-year extension is granted?

Re: (TIER 1 Entrepreneur) EMPLOYEE REQUIREMENT ADVISE PLZ

You should employ two people for a minimum of one year each, so that means that you would need to take on employees by the end of the second year at the latest, counting from the date you got your visa, not the registration of your company.

Employee provided passport months after joining

I did the checks at that time using her birth certificate and NI number. Would it be worthwhile sending in the passpo...
