Hello all We applied for the British citizenship on 16/09/13 having spent just over 1 year on ILR before that. Then there was some payment processing problem (the card was lost) so we were asked to send the payment details again which we did. Finally the payment was taken on 28th Sep. It's been over...

Thanks for your guidance. I'm afraid I've more questions - Speaking to a friend, I learnt that getting general visitor visa for young adults is not easy. My friend, who is a British citizen, applied for a visa for her sister along with his parents in Pakistan and was refused the visa. Does this chan...

One very quick question regarding inviting my sister and niece. Another nephew may also join them. I was wondering will a 2 bedroom house be sufficient to house them? If no, what if I get visas for them separately? We are just husband and wife- no kids. So in all there will be 5 people, all adults (...

Hello I am an Indian citizen settled with an ILR in UK. I was planning on inviting my sister and niece from India to visit us during summer for 6-8 weeks. Which visa category will best suit them, tourist or visitor or any other? Is getting visas for family members difficult? Should I take help of a ...

I was wondering if its ok for my wife to stay back for more than 90 days and come back sometime in Jan'13, in around 4 months time. What implications what this bring as regards our c...

Thanks for your replies. Thing is I've tried , just out of curiosity, to book an appointment of, say 1st of Sept, to see if the appointmnets are available. Everytime I got the reply that no slots are free. I've never been able to book any appointment, for made-up earlier dates. Dont know if PEO is p...

So my plan is to try the PEO appointment booking website and the phone in the first week of august. If no joy, then I will send my application by post. Is this the right approach?

Not able to get PEO appointment... help

Hi all My current Tier 1 visa expires in the first week of Oct. I am eligible for ILR in the 2nd week of Sept. I've been trying to get an appointment for few weeks now but no luck. I called UKBA and they told me to try 6 weeks before the eligibility date. So I can only try from 28th July onwards. I'...

Spouse's ILR

In light of the recent change for family migration, do you foresee any issues with my spouse getting the ILR. I came to UK on HSMP in Oct 2007 and later got Tier 1 extension in 2009. She fist came to UK a month later i.e. in Nov'2007. In other words, I would have completed 4 years 11 months while sh...
