I have a concern about the new IDI guidance on 5 years absences too: it is said on the bottom of page 11: In the following categories, absences must be for reasons connected with the applicant’s purpose for being in the UK or for serious or compelling compassionate reasons. Evidence, as specified ab...

As always UKBA forms are ill-designed and vague. SET (O) form: In section 6: According to the rules Tier 1 General should provide absence documents only if the absences were due to serious or compelling reasons. But questions 6.3 is not clear and seems if applicant should provide evidence for all ab...

I know it well. But it is still unclear. OK, it is before tax, but it is before NI? or before any loan repayment? Tax is not the only thing that deducted from salary.

Thank you for your help. I am waiting for more help from senior members regarding deductions. Actually, I think UKBA meant before all deduction. For example when you are repaying a loan, it actually does not decrease your salary and your earning is unchanged. By the way, I am looking for more assura...

Tier 1 Extension questions

Hi All, I have two questions about Tier 1 G extension: 1-It is said that the wage considered is Gross Salary before tax. As we know, there are many other things that are being deducted from salary such as NI, loan repayment, etc. Therefore, Gross Salary means salary before all deductions? 2-On paysl...

Funds Already Invested

Hi All,

Is it possible that someone from outside the UK relies on the funds already invested in the UK? As you know to become a company director you dont have to be present here.

Best Regards

Appointment confirmation

Hi All, As you know the appointment booking system is terrible. Sometimes you book the appointment but nothing will be shown in your account and you only get emails which is fine. But if you want to cancel such appointment you have to call UKBA as there is no way to cancel it online! one of my frien...

It seems that I made a mistake and this paragraph is not applicable to Tier 1 G and applicable to Tier 2. any absences from the UK during the five years must have been for a purpose that is consistent with the continuous employment in (i), including paid annual leave or for serious or compelling rea...

It is exactly my question. I am confused and dont know these new rules are good or bad? 1-It is said only for employment purposes, then we cannot exit the country for holiday and visit the family? 2-What about the previous years? For example, I was out of the UK for 70 days at once in my first year ...

New Rules

UKBA changed the absence rules. To be honest I did not understand it well and waiting for comment from senior members. 1)in one aspect it will allow Tier 1 G to be outside the UK up to 180 days in any year which is very good 2)On the other hand, it said all the absences should be employment related....

Congrad!!!

It is interesting that in PEO Birmingham you will pay after they approve your case. I think Croydon is the worst PEO.

Moreover, what about the missing stamp you did not say anything about that;)

Congrat.

The interesting point is that they ask you for payment after make a decision and even before giving Biometrics. In Croydon, you should first pay and then biometrics and then they look at your case. I think Birmingham is a better PEO in this regard.

you could check this thread as well: http://immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=118151 It is dependent on the categories you are: Tier 1 G does not need any proof only 12 months statement and payslips for claiming point but Work Permit and HSMP needs them. As you are a combination of these categor...

Thank you for your kind help. I'll certainly have them (P60 for the last year, employer letter, payslips and bank statements) and my only problem is the year I was out of work which by these comments I am relaxed about it.

I hope the CW will stop asking unnecessary documents.

Thank you again

I agree with you, if I had them I did not ask this question. But the problem is that I was out of work for about a year which is common thing among Tier 1 visa holder. In addition, I know that caseworker and immigration officers usually ask nonsense questions. I am always asked irrelevant questions ...

Thank you for your reply. I am thinking the same way. Sometimes people dont forget the old rules. As there is no one who applies based on Tier 1 only and everyone is applying based on a combination of Tier 1 G and other categories, this makes confusion. I hope from 2014 no caseworker will ask for un...

I myself reached an idea which seems correct: There is no one yet who applied for ILR based on 5 years wholly on Tier 1 G as PBS introduced in 2009. So all of Tier 1 G who applied so far applied based on combination of Tier 1 G and HSMP/Tier 1 G and work permit and for HSMP they have to show their a...

Thank you for your response. But it is not the answer to my question. I did not work for ayear and do not have P60 or anything else for those period. Re: five years economic activity

Dear All, ... Then, why it is insisted on submitting P60 for all 5 years and even in FAQ section it is recommended that submit them and it is said that some caseworkers asked it? If it is not mentioned in the rules, how caseworker could ask it and refuse based on that???.... Some people value getti...

five years economic activity

Dear All, I am confused about one point in ILR application. I am now on Tier 1 G and I can apply for ILR next year. According to what I read in guidances, rules and IDIs, a Tier 1 G visa holder should score enough points (for my case it is 75) to get ILR. In this point assessment, I should show my s...

Somewhere I read that they are releasing at 11:30 PM and 6:00 AM but I am not sure. One thing is clear that...

As I know, you are more concerned about the Home country government. Usually, if they know that you were a refugee, you will encounter problem. It depends on the country and I dont know how is in Zimbabwe.
