MN1 Appointment at NCS

Hi All

I've got my MN1 appointment booked today for little one who is just under 2yrs.

My query is do I've to take my little one to NCS for his application or can I go without him as well ? Your response is much appreciated. Thanks

Re: Self employed ILR query

I don't think it is needed. As its not in your qualifying period and also you had not declared that as a income to UKBA, that's not a problem. You should however ensure that the earnings showed to UKBA should have been showed as earning to HMRC and tax paid for it. Thanks for your response, I have ...

Re: Tax Update

HMRC is sleeping on everyone's paperwork. I am sick and tired of calling them. The advisors on the phone dont even have basic understanding of rules and compliance. Everytime you will get different date and different information. Why not pay them a visit with a personalized cake from Harrods and so...

MN1 - Section5 Child Referees

Hi All I know this questiona has been answered earlier and appeared in FAQ as well. But I still want to confirm from senior members and people who have personally applied with no professional referee. The issue is my UK born child is just under 2yrs and I am planning to make his MN1 application on D...

Re: SET(LR) - Self-Assessment discrepancies

How important to pay it in full? Is committing to pay not enough?[/quote] How would you prove to UKVI that you are committed to pay ? I think your best bet in this situation is to follow what sushdmehta has recommended. "Get your accountant to submit amended return. Include a cheque for any tax...

Re: SET(LR) - Self-Assessment discrepancies

If your accountant has done the calculations then just call HMRC and make the payment. Your account will be in credit and when HMRC update their system all will be adjusted towards the amount owe. How important to pay it in full? Is committing to pay not enough? How would you prove to UKVI that you...

Re: ILR applyed on tier 1 Home offe asking last 5 years sa30

Its not UKBA place to say anything about your tax affairs. Accounting errors , loss in business, mistakes while filing return etc anything could happen. Once you have sent your amended returns to HMRC , UKBA cant refuse you on any basis. I sent my amendments in Aug and still waiting. I have sent am...

Re: Tax return -self assessment

As you have amended 2011-12 tax return manually in October 2015 it will take minimum 3-4 months for hmrc to amend the returns (that's their current turn around time for manual amendments). If you've submitted an explanation letter along with your application explaining that you'very already submitt...

Re: Tax return -self assessment

AFAIK, by law HMRC has 6 months to amend tax returns of previous years after amendments are received. Anything sooner than that ... consider yourself lucky. I guess it also depends upon the workload at hmrc. People are able to get the amendment done in about 4 months time as of now but considering ...

Re: TAX AMENDMENT

Thanks. Are amended figures reflecting on your online self assessment account? Regards The amended figure does not reflect in online SA account nor does hmrc update the SA302 with new figures. They simply send you a separate sheet of calculation which confirms that your return has been amended.

Re: TAX AMENDMENT

I'll advise call them on 18th coz that's the latest date on which aany activity will happen. If things move before that date then you'll get something in post if not then call in 18th. Also be prepare if in case they tell you that the date has been pushed back and it will take further 2 weeks.
