Re: ILR from tier1 - job situation and mortgage

I am looking at putting down Nov-14 - Oct-15 as my earnings period ( I apply in Jan). I should also be able to put down Dec-14-Nov-15 ( in case required) as I am still in active employment. It is just that in the worst case I may not have a job in Dec-15 or Jan-16. Regards You should be fine in any...

Re: Tax confusion

Jesus! 2-3 months.. my visa expires in Jan'16.. it is so strange that even after working so hard and paying back into the system through heavy taxes i might have to struggle with HO. A genuine situation which would be perceived as deception by HO, what mattered was the points claimed for the income...

Since it is 12-13 return you won't be able to do it online. You have send everything in writing. HMRC's current turn around is 3-4 months to amend manual return.

Re: Tax confusion

Hi, Thanks for your inputs. For extension purpose i used £28k between 6th April 2012 till 10th Dec'2012. I had minimal expenses during this period, but had to scale up majorly for some work in the final 3 months of the tax year. I clear case of genuine expenses for delivery of work. I am not denyin...

Re: Tax confusion

Apologies for the confusion.. i declared circa £15k for the year 2011/12 and paid tax on the same and declared £32k for the year 2012/13 and paid tax on £32- expenses i.e. £17k. Based on the info you've give I am assuming that for 2012/13 you showed 32K to HO & claimed points on it. While filin...

Re: Tax confusion

I showed 36k from 28th Dec'11 to 10th dec'12 however paid tax on circa £15k for the year 2011/12 and £32k for the year 2012/13 which included all my invoices (used for extension) plus invoices before dec'11 and invoices beyond dec'12. I had some major expenses during Jan'13 to 5th April'13. I have ...

Re: ILR from tier1 - job situation and mortgage

I think if one have satisfied the income criteria and was economically active within the last 15 months from the date of application but at the same time was not economically active at the time of making the application it does not mean that HO has the grounds to reject the application. I agree with...

Re: Self employment + Capital Allowances

Example: Income showed to HO £10000 and then declared 40% less income to HMRC.

In the above example there is significant difference between the two income declared.

Hello All, I will appreciate your help and feedback regarding the below question please? What impact can claiming capital allowance have on visa application? Re: ILR from tier1 - job situation and mortgage

Hi As you've already satisfied the earning criteria it doesn't matter if you are not in job at the time of making an ILR application. As far as I am aware there is no such rule which states that you've to be in employment at time of making ILR application. Moreover you can always attach an explanatio...

Re: Compilation of ALL Tax Issues for ILR

Thank you. But being refused would definitely affect future applications, right? Even if I disclose my mistake this time, do you think they could categorise deception and prevent me from applying again? Thanks! If they reject your application due to mismatch in income you declared with HMRC and inc...

Does withdrawing an application negatively affect new applications? and also, would I get a refund of the fee?

Many thanks.
Withdrawing the application shouldn't impact you negatively but I doubt HO will refund your fees.

Re: ILR (LR) On Hold, Query about Dependent

Hi

I agree with JollyJolly. The only option you've is send your wife's postal application in before her leave expires quoting the case ref number given to you. Do not forget to attach the letter you've received from HO. All the best.

Hi Ghazalie Firstly I'll advise that do not panci. You'll be wasting your money by hiring a lawyer to push your case as there is no lawyer who can push the case with home office (unless you already got a lawyer for your application, in that case you can ask him to chase) Secondly at times home office...
