So it has to be said that merely getting some sort of ESOL rating of her English ability is not going to assist at all. If you download form SET(M) from the UKBA website this will give you an idea of what you need to prepare under current regulations , which may well change before your wife qualifies for ILR. I have already checked the form but it shows no requirements/criteria. thats why I am slightly confused !!!!

it appears that for post October applicants alot of the VISA processing is done in Pakistan and its alot quicker a friend of mine applied end of October he got a call a couple of weeks ago from Pakisan about his application and his VISA was issued this week. quite remarkable.
