Thank you, wiggsy. You have answered all my questions in great detail. That i appreciate. To your question, yes, tenancy will be with council housing or housing assocation. It's just 20% reduction in rent compare to the open market rents. So one pays out 80% rent to the council or housing association.

I had the same issue but my wife entered Uk 92 days after it was stamped and her visa was issued for 2 years 17 days. Luckily we both were Granted ILR at Solihull. Did you apply by Post or in person?
