Its a "form" that your accountant would fill in to send it to HMRC to work as an agent on your behalf (self employed) , this is not required for visa extension.

What i meant was, 5 years of residence + 1 year of ILR (residence) = 6 years of stay in order to apply for British citizenship.

And only the first 5 years are counted from the 6 years of stay to calculate the absence.

After completing 5 full years in the UK on a Tier 2 General Visa you can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) so long as you have not spent any more than 90 days outside the country in any one year. Please note however that if you are planning to leave the UK (after securing settlement) for an...

LTDs don't have UTRs, they have reference numbers. You'll get a letter from HMRC giving you all the company details in a couple of weeks once you register for LTD Company.

Dear, UKBA should only be concerned with the available funds, not the source of fund.

I dont think there should be any problem as long as the funds are available in your friends bank account and he has maintained the minimum balance required for 90 days at the time of application.

In order to get your extension you must secure the minimum points, in this case 100 points. It does not matter if you get the points under UK experience category as long as you meet the points required for extension. I just had this doubt in my mind, I believe that you would have got points on self employed income before tax. Did you show the accountant letter with net profit after tax or before tax from your self employment as sole trader. And did UKBA award points on net profit before tax on your self employed...
