ILR

If you apply for ilr whilst you are a student in the Uk your status would remain the same whilst you application for ilr is under consideration. This would mean that all the condiitons that are applicable to students would remain intact until you are served with a decison.

ILR

From what you have stated it would appear that your husband also ented the United Kingdom as your dependent. As long as he has valid leave to remain he can apply for an extension of stay later. Furthermore if you have already been granted ILR it will be benefical in his aplication.
