Re: Tier 2G ILR - unpaid leave

I have a similar query.

I worked for my previous employer for about 4.5 months, but have taken 3 weeks of unpaid leave. Will this impact anyway? Will this be pro-rated at all?

or is it one employer - up to 28 days - one calendar year, irrespective of how long we worked with them?

Re: do business under gen tier 2 visa

Sorry, should have been clearer. It was only dissolved 3 months after I switched to Tier 2. In fact the companies house did that. I only checked it later.

I never did any business with it, just registered

Re: do business under gen tier 2 visa

I am in a similar boat. I just registered the company while I was on PSW visa. But never operated, and is dissolved after I switched in tier 2 general visa.

Will this anyway impact the ILR?

Re: ILR and employer absence letters

For Tier 2 General to ILR, it is mandatory to submit a letter from each employer detailing your absence (ALL absence). Hi CR001 Can you please clarify whether the letter should only be focused on absences outside the UK or all absences from office (i.e. say for annual/sick leaves spent inside the U...

Re: Jobs changed in 5 years while on Tier 2

Sorry, I should have clarified that all the leaves were unpaid I took 3 weeks of unpaid leave during this time. Am not sure if at all this unpaid leave was reported in the SMS portal. In the official guidance it says 4 weeks of unpaid leave is allowed per year (Jan - Dec) to not break the continuous...

Re: Tier 2 General to ILR(5 Year Route)

When I had my premium appointment for ILR (May 2017), I was asked for P45 as I changed employer about 2 months before my ILR. The case officer told me she needed my P45 to confirm that the gap between employments was not up to 60 days. She wanted to put my application on hold but fortunately I had ...

Re: ILR Decision on HOLD for further checks

Congratulations SRK007. Can you please advise if the UKVI informed you/your company prior to the compliance check date? or did it happen without any notification? Hi Friends, My ILR is approved by the grace of God and have received all the documents today. I'm thankful to each one of you for keeping...

Re: Tire 2 - ILR - Set(O) - Docs

@kawshik84: Can you please share the template of the letter you used for getting absences of current and previous employers? I am shortly eligible for ILR so it may help. Also I am not sure if I/my previous employer has a record of reasons for leaving the UK (as I had some component of travel involv...

Re: Jobs changed in 5 years while on Tier 2

HO is mostly concerned about all your absence from the UK or any long absence from work in general. Thank you. I only took leave for about 16 days off (but stayed in the UK) during my employment time for about 5 months with an employer. Is this "long"? Also how soon can we get the letter ...

Re: Jobs changed in 5 years while on Tier 2

Can you please clarify - if I need to provide absence letter from the employer even if I have not left the UK?

Also I don't have a copy of my previous P60s/P45s? Can you please let me know how we can get the old ones?

I am due to apply for ILR in November.

Many thanks

Re: Tier 2 Dependent - ILR Continuos More than 180 days

I am not aware of any rule for dependents - to be NOT away from the country for more than 180 days. Is there any change to this? We are in a similar situation as my wife has left the UK for maternity for more than an year and I have also switched my visa in this period. Can you please advise if this...

Maximum number of days outside UK

Hi All, I would like to clarify the below regarding 180 days rule. I am due to apply for ILR in Nov, 2017 i.e. in 6 months time. So far I have spent about 8 days outside the work - which is within the limit of '180 days in continuous period'. My employer has now signed a project with a EU based firm...

Re: List of documents for tier 2 ILR

I was wondering what docs do we need to provide for the below? I was on tier 4 and PSW visa before tier 2 visa: (a) For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 2 migrant, documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules. (b) what all info do we need to inc...

Re: Tier 2 ILR Application - 60 days unemployed period

Hi Mengo, Sorry to hear about your situation. I am in a similar situation where the gap between last date of employment and new Tier 2 is 66 days. HO have refused my application for ILR. I was just wondering if you could tell what was the outcome of your AR if you had chosen to exercise it? Help fr...

Re: Tier 2 ILR Application - 60 days unemployed period

Sorry to hear about the bad news. But it sounds like - the 60 days continuous period rule is based on the - last date of employment with previous employer and the date of application [/u] for the new employer. i.e it is not based on when you join the new company? In my case: date of employment with ...

Re: ILR For Dependent/partner - 5 years rule

Thank you for your view.

I had an informal chat with a lawyer over the weekend on this topic.

He wondered whether the "break" in my wife's visa (for about 6 months) will be of any issue? Has anyone experienced this kind of situation before?

Sorry for posting in Tier 1. Am on Tier 2 General visa. Yes, she also has a visa, valid until Oct'18. She left the UK for delivery of our first child. ILR For Dependent/partner - 5 years rule

Hi all, I would like to take your views on the below and clarify what exactly it means: o they’ve been living in the UK with you for at least 2 years if they applied before 9 July 2012 or 5 years if they applied on or after 9 July 2012 Does it mean 5 years from the time she first entered the UK? Or ...

Tier 2 Salary requirement for indefinite leave to remain

I am currently on Tier 2 General and have started my Tier 2 journey from Dec 20, 2012. I want to make my application for ILR as strong as possible to meet all requirements. So I was wondering: (a) How long should the salary be at least £35k as per new rules? Is it ok to have it say just a month or t...
