11500 decision, 8000 of them are approved so the ratio of success is 69.5%.
also I think from mid Oct the proces will be faster as the new interns will commence work.

I sent my further documents on 04/05/2011 upon their request,
I rang them end of May they told me my file is wit the minister then I got the approval on mid June 2011 so it took 6 weeks.

i APPLIED FOR MY SON YESTERDAY AND THEY RECEIVED THE LETTER TODAY 16/09/2011

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS THE TIME FRAME FOR RECEIVING THE REFERENCE NUMBER AND THE APPROVAL?

IT WAS 4 TO 6 MONTHS BEFORE TO GET THE APPROVAL, WHAT ABOUT NOW?

they do not offer extensions. however, if you go to the passport office with all the necessary documentation, and proof of travel, the passport would issue quicker. I once had to get my child's irish passport in a day, and with an additional fee, got it the same day (our plane was on that evening)....

as my brith certificate is in other language than English so I translated it with a certified translation.
