Has your friend Naturalised yet? Cos if he has, then i guess he's sorted. Citizenship can be rev...

They way it works in practice is, if an applicant has good prospect of wining his JR, UKBA back down from resisting JR and usually give undertaking to reconsider the applicant's case within specific time. Amanda you literally repeating my words; lol, but that is ok. However, £5000 is bit exaggeration, generally it does not cost that much on immigration Judicial Reviews, even if a case goes to hearing and a barrister is instructed. I think it can be more or less that amount depending on the complexi...

The first thing to establish is whether JR is the right remedy to pursue. If there is good claim for JR, then there is no need to worry about costs. I mentioned the term costs in this thread, however, it shouldn't be misconceived. In immigration cases, the issue of costs rarely come for the applica...

Chase up your case with the UKBA, or if you have representative, ask him to do this. DLR is more appropriate in your current circumstrances but you have to wait for the pending decision first. Is that you don't have existing relationship with your daughter's mom? Relationship mean you cohabit/ live ...

If he is Legacy, then he may get ILR eventualy, but this is not automatic, the CRD takes into account personal circumstances of an Legacy applicant. It is a positive point in his case that he has settled partner and Briti...

If your appeal is successful, passport/s wouldn't be stamed straightway. Have you got the Hearing date? Are you in UK currently? Yes you have to go to the hearing if you don't have representative. What are the refusal grounds?
