From what I have been told for overseas applications it is the date on which you pay your application fee that is relevant.

I have been told it will cost £64.

Does our son's passport need to be certified also.

Just out of general interest why do they require a copy of all the passport pages?

certified copies of passport

Does the entire passport or just the photo page need to be certified. Also, I have just asked two solicitors neither of whom were particulary keen to do it. One told me to go the other one down the road and then they told me that they would only do it if I was a client of theirs. Was also told a GP ...

I am too getting an immigration inspection done by the Environmental Health officer from the local council. When I first contacted my local council they told me too that they didi not do this sort of thing. Have you tried asking the council to speak to Property Inspections Team or Housing services?

land registry doc as proof of ownership

I have downloaded and printed off the land registry document for my parents house where me and my fiance will be living. Is this sufficient evidence of my parents ownership even though it is not an official copy.

presentation of supporting evidence

What is the best way to present my supporting evidence. At the moment it is in a folder inside plastic wallets. Is there a preference?

Thank you

Just out of interest why do you say not to give too many details. I have written for my fiances application a very detailed account - is this not needed? Has been looked at by two immigration specialists who say it is fine.

English lang testing

If we send in the application before the 29th November and get an appointment before this date but my fiance travels to the Uk after this date - how does taking the english language test fit into this. Does he need to take it before the visa appointment?

A little bit confused can anyone help?

However, I have £2000 of savings of which I could use to top up the shortfall. Anyone have any idea...

Khuddar, I totally agree with you that there seems to be very little understanding of the "frustration and trauma" that this causes.

I hope you hear soon and that it is good news.
