Thank You guys it makes a lot of sense. I am sure I can carefully prepare my document list and submit application myself, with help from this forum. Just curious, if someone's case gets rejected, can we successfully appeal that? I mean if they raise a certain concern and we are able to satisfy them ...

Do I need a consultant?

As per the Tier 1 Calucalator and the current exchange rate I am just about on the border to qualify for the Tier 1. Of course I am on the right side of the border :o I went to a consultant just to review my case. Consultant disheartened me that the borderline cases have a strong chance of getting r...

Is there a forum for Tier 1 that has more discussions and participation than this one? I hardly see anyone providing their advice - except of course a few who have posted on my question :)

sounds good ... if the rules dont permit it then I guess there's no argument :) Thanks push One could however house the property in a business that they wholly own and then claim the income from business for points under PBS. I am not sure though how regulations re property rental business work. So...

Full time job + part time work

I am an IT professional and have a full time work. However, on the weekends I do some extra work, at times, for others. The money comes into my bank account. Would proof would I have to show for that? Its sort of consultancy work so there's no pay slip. I can show my bank account and a letter signed...

Thanks but just curious who would be considered having a property business? The one who is buying and selling property?

And what about income coming from property for normal people? Where should that be counted?

Property rental earning

I am confused about what is considered property rental and can it be considered in my earnings? 123. Earnings may include, among other things: income from property rental, where this forms part of the applicant’s business; and 124. Unearned sources of income that we will not consider as previous e...

Thanks for your reply. But you think air allowance would be admissible as earnings? One question though, is there a specific text which they (my company) should write for the air allowance. The reasons are 2: 1) Already my bank statement says Air Passage Credit which sounds like an expense. 2) My co...

Air Travel Benefit & Previous earnings

Hi, I have a question relating to Air Travel Benefit. The rules state: A) We will only include allowances (such as those for accommodation or schooling for an applicant's children) in the assessment of an applicant's previous earnings if they are part of an applicant's remuneration package and are n...
