It took about two months for mine. Applied end of 2009, approval received end of Jan 2012, returned letter/funds Feb 2012, invite to June ceremony received a fortnight ago.

I applied end of 2009 and have recently received my acceptance. The only thing is I've been travelling the past six months and don't have an up to date Garda ID to send in with my money and photos. Does anyone know if this will be a problem?

LTR and EC Residence Permit

Just wondering if anyone knows if LTR in Ireland equates to an EC Residence Permit? (e.g. http://poliziadistato.it/articolo/10723 ... _residents) In other words, once someone has received LTR in Ireland are they eligible to live and work in other EU countries?

I'd suggest calling them again. I sent in a letter a couple of weeks ago asking a question and received a response saying "thanks for your letter" but that was it. I called yesterday and after 15 mins on hold I was through to a very lovely lady who took my reference number and answered my ...

Thanks for such a quick response. I have received a letter confirming receipt of my original application and reference number. I'll try to get a hold of them on the phone during the week but feeling a bit more positive now!
