Re: Sunrider singh route urgent question

Not having a stamp in your passport doesn't mean you haven't travelled. It also definitely isn't the only record of having travelled.

Re: British Passport Arrival Time?

It took three or four days if I remember correctly to receive passport after ceremony, but things may go wrong and it could take a bit longer. The correct advice is to not book a trip so close to your ceremony (you need to give it 3 weeks). If you need to do the trip and cannot cancel it, then move ...

Re: Is the Nationality Checking Service useful or not? [EEA route]

It is 100% worth it, even if just for the fact that on the day you have your ceremony, they inform HO and you get your passport within days afterwards.

Re: Application Approved and then refused!!

One of the requirements when you apply for British citizenship is that you will continue to live in the UK. You clearly did not continue to live in the UK.

Looking for a job in New Zealand and moving your entire family over there doesn't sound like you want to continue living in the UK.

Re: change a citizenship ceremony to a different council?

I remember asking my council if we could go to the neighbouring one if the dates were not suitable and they said that it isn't possible to change. I don't think many people have the problem of their council being a long way to travel. Why don't you just postpone your ceremony until after your trip? ...

She is eligible to apply for an Ancestry work visa, because she has at least one grandparent born in the UK. She can apply for ILR and then naturalisation in the usual way. But she will have no shortcut to British citizenship.
I think this is incorrect as she is not a commonwealth citizen.

Re: IRL APPLICATION - 555 Days (single trip 50 days max) Outside in 10 Years Period

It is definitely full days only - do not count any part of the day spent in the UK, only full days out of the country. Thus your first example is an absence of 3 days, not 4.

My one referee signed about three weeks before I did on a different version of the form and about 6 weeks before I submitted the application!! I wouldn't worry about it all (my application was successful).

Re: Naturalisation - Additional info requested

Just saw this and then thought, I'm sure I had to declare that I owned my house, but then realised that this was a question asked during ILR, not citizenship. Maybe it is just a case of missing information which they usually get when people apply for ILR.

Do you intend on trading or investing? Specifically on the CFD route, trading could be viewed as a form of self-employment. Investing is just an investment.

Not sure what your question is really. There's a lot of fluff in your post, but not much information - what route were you applying through and what are you expecting advice on?

Re: Elderly Parent - Settlement Application Refused - Hilarious reason

The first part seems fine, but don't add any of the text around your "question" section as your reasoning is poor. You should hold the government of Country Y responsible for your illness and injury as that is where you are currently, the situation of the country has nothing to do with the...

It is part of the approval letter template. At the top right hand side are all the references. There is a Home Office one and a Poll/Cover Note No.

Re: Address change while expecting decision

I can't set-up a redirection where I live as the only thing I have is a lease contract (not accepted by RM), but no bills or statement on this address (secondary-work home). This should not be a problem. I have done several redirections and never had to send in a rental, lease or purchase agreement...

It will actually be quicker to apply via NCS as your passport application will be kept ready and immediately processed once you've done your ceremony. Doing it yourself means you'll also have to go for an interview. Also, they check your documentation (and it is very different to immigration applica...

No. There is nothing which suggests that you cannot become naturalised with points on your licence. Why did you submit your history, it is strange?

Being accused of something is not a material change in circumstances, being convicted of something is and it appears you did not inform them of the conviction.

As per your previous post, the application which was rejected was not submitted "in-time" - it was submitted late.

You need to either postpone your ceremony or trip. DO NOT leave the country until you have a passport. No airline will allow you to fly without either valid leave to enter or a passport.

The last set of dates on the form (bottom) should be the most recent trip you've had. Start from the beginning and put it all in order.

Being Australian doesn't make it any easier or different really to being citizen of any other country. Possibly the two year ...

If it says Decided it's always successful? Or can it still be a reject? I'm I right you would get a rejection letter but still updated to decided. I would guess that's correct.
