Hi everyone, Me and my wife applied for the ILR as T2 holder and dependent in April this year. I was granted with the ILR but my wife was refused because she didn't finish her two-year stay in the UK. I know it's stupid mistake. The refusal letter from HO said my wife can still stay in the UK with T...

The WP dates don't matter so much as the dates on your leave to enter / remain. my understanding is that OP's ILR clock was reset when visa expired and OP was out of UK. is this correct? Don't think so. If your first visa expires you are not allowed to stay in the UK anymore. You should leave UK an...

I can't understand if T1 and T2 holders were not allowed to settle down here, then how do they attract the highly-skilled workers or scientist? What sort of visa will those people be issued to enter the UK? That sounds quite confusing to me.

Re: Is employment letter for HSMP JR really needed?

Hi Have my ILR appointment this Friday and in my earlier post I enquired but will appreciate if someone can help me with these two questions please: 1. Thank you Backer for the clarification..... I have one more question on this, my wife's passport stamp has a later date than mine as she migrated to the UK a couple of months later. Does this mean I should apply for Probationary Citizenship / ILR after she completed her five years in UK or as I am ...

My friend applied in person at the Sheffield PEO. I am not too sure if he took a covering letter with him but I suppose its always a good idea to have one. The most important document that you would need is a letter from your employer stating that the gap was due to a business case. You may struggl...

Thanks for your reply. I think you misunderstood my situation. For the first two years I was definitely working in the UK and it's because I was contracted by another company abroad to work here, I was paid by that company instead of the British company I worked for. what visa were you on? i havent...

Can I apply for ILR in my situation?

Hi folks, I have been working in the UK for nearly 5 years now and thinking to apply for the ILR. The question is if I was contracted in the UK by the company abroad in the first two year and was paid by the company abroad instead of the UK company and I didn't pay the tax here, was that first two y...
