I was specifically asked for 5 years P60. In the absence of this, "HMRC Employment History" for 5 years is admissable.

I was also asked for payslips and bank statements to cover the entire period I was claiming earning for - in this case 12 months for each.

Ineligible for OCI if Indian Passport Holder born in UK?

My son [currently an Indian passport holder, but born in the UK] is currently applying for MN1 / naturalisation and once this is granted, and thereafter when he receives his new passport; he will need to make travel arrangements should he wish to travel to India. At that stage, should we apply for P...

Are you suggesting my son's current UK visa till 2014 is now void when I got ILR?

No specific reason to wait till 2013 - except I wanted to do it with rest of family going for AN1 and MN1 in 2013 - just easier for me rather than constantly applying for visas?!!!!

I was given a standard letter on extension of residency and a leaflet explaining ILR was enclosed. No letter with the wording you describe was given.

Response for Rajun

FOR RAJUN 1. All applicants over 18 need to complete LIUK test as mandatory requirement 2. From 29-feb you will need to provide biometric data during the process so a biometric residence permit can be issued instead if visa sticker in passport. Factor in another 60-90 minutes to the 3 hrs it takes a...

Visa status of my British born son following ILR

I have recently received my ILR alongwith 2 dependants I did not apply for ILR for my British born son. What is his current visa status? (he has leave to remain till January 2014 as my tier 1 PBS dependant, but with my change of status, I am not clear about his status technically.) We don't have any...

There is NO maintenance funds requirement for ILR applications. You need to demonstrate earnings that meet the threshold for points you are claiming, and prove those earnings with documents from at least two sources. However bank statements are used only to correlate whether salary paid has actually...

From the Case Officer I dealt with, for the most recent two years (2010 and 2011) she needed 2 docs for each year, across the year. As an example, a document from Feb/Mar/April 2010 and another from Sept/Oct/Nov 2010 and likewise for 2011. Other case officers are known to ask for one doc for each ye...

Seriously:

1. Advise your bank(s)
2. Advise your council so they update the electoral register
3. Advise the HMRC so you are entitled to credits etc
4. Advise the DVLA
5. Advise your car insurance co.
6. Check with your GP if NHS records for you need updating

2 Children next year

Yes, one child born overseas received an ILR yesterday. In 2013, when she becomes entitled for registration, I could possibly apply for her and my son born in the UK at the same time saving 50% fee but also, because there is no signigicant advantage to registering him now, rationalising the time I a...

ILR granted; should i proceed with MN1 for son born in UK

I have received an ILR for my self + 2 dependants but did not apply for ILR for my son who was born in the UK. His leave to remain expires in January 2014. I am keen to apply for his MN1 entitlement. However as he has no urgent need to travel, may be better off with his current passport while we ret...

Biometric process after grant of ILR will add 60-90 minutes

The case officer at the biometric customer enquiry desk suggested that from 29 Feb 2012, after a decision to grant ILR was made in the usual manner, applicants would need to provide biometric data for the card to be prepared. This is an additional step in the process and adds between 60 to 90 minute...

No Time Limit

I received my ILR vignette sticker this evening at the Croydon PEO. I prefer carrying a BRP as it is being extended to all ILR applicants from 29 Feb and employers are being trained to ask for and receive BRP as proof of indefinite leave. So I asked the biometrics case officer if I could have one as...

Thanks to your input, I carried all 12 months bank statements. Tier 1 migrants need to have evidence for the entire peiod being claimed. Consequently, The case officer insisted on 12 months statements and thanks to your advice she got the evidence she needed. Had 12 months payslips and 5 years P60s ...

Noticed no one is asked for more than 3-6 months payslips in various success stories on the forum. Guidance Notes suggest at least 3 months but do not prescribe Max. I have all 12 months payslips + 5 years P60s + HMRC employment history. 7 months bank statements show exact similar deposits. Have my ...
