There are probably 2 ways of dealing with this: 1, ask your employer for a pay rise. you didn't mention this, so i guess it's not possible? 2, you have to find another job title, I'm not in this field, so I can't tell you what you should use, but just use your imagination, what do you actually do, a...

It just goes to show the UKBA recognize that most WP holders' job title could be different from what's on SOC list, so as long as you pick one that's not too far off, and make sure your salary is higher than that, you should be ok.

I strongly suspect it'll be weeks rather than days. At this stage I think you should get a lawyer or immigration advisor to: 1, Sort out your "job title" issues. 2, Enquire or even speed up the process Do shop around, you want the one that tells you "I'm gonna get on the phone with UK...

Can't really understand your situation, so why don't you post your original letter on here and answer the following questions so we can help you better. 1, what's the job title on your WP? 2, what do you actually do and how much are you paid? 3, what's the Code of Practice code did you choose? From ...

As long as his salary is above SOC code, he is fine, providing there is no other issues like convictions, CCJ and so on.

Your second post is for people applying for extention (those who haven't got their 5 years), it has nothing to do with apply for ILR.

1, as long as your history of being PAID is shown on these statements, it's fine, everyone has more than one accounts. I haven't applied yet, but as I understand, they only care about your EARNING history, not your SPENDING history. 2, Read 1 3, I guess your are tier1? I'm not so can't help you with...

I haven't applied yet myself, but I can tell you for sure that you NEED that letter stating your current salary, and your related SOC code, and hopefully your salary should be the same or higher than the SOC.

It's a MUST, so call your HR now.

Well, it's a bit drastic I think, but I think a lawyer or immigration advisor should give you better advice on this issue than I can. If your higher pay is due to over time, then you should only show your basic 40hr/week pay, which is your "proper" pay. Or define some of your pay as a bonu...

I think your only problem is your salary now is too high, it might make UKBA think your job title has changed, have you ever report your salary increase to UKBA? I think you'd better find a lawyer or immigration advisor.

First of all, you are No.4 in the restaurant, so you are not "Restaurant Manager", currently if your job title is not in Code of Practice, you should find the closest match, which in your case should be "waiter" or at best "team leader". Secondly, don't you have tips or...

I'm not sure what the Moroccan government's policy is, but in my case, my government and its embassy here allow you to renew your passport 6 month before it's due to expire, if that's the case with you, then your husband can renew his passport at around July 2012 and then submit both passport when a...

Just had a look at your previous post.

So you are on WP and switched to part time because of your kid, is that right?

Then I could see 2 ways of doing this,
1, switch back to full time and then appeal.
2, since your husband is holding NZ passport, maybe he can apply for working holiday visa?

Let me assume that you are on Tier 2 or Work Permit. That means they are right to refuse you, you as an economic migrant from out side EU are not allowed to just work part time on Tier2 or Work Permit what so ever, unless there is something you are not telling us here (like ill health or maternity l...

Not quite get your entire employment history, but assuming your second employment is also on WP then: 1, yes, the original WP document is necessary to prove that you were actually on WP for your second employment, since your HR has lost it, try to find out if your company has used a law firm to appl...

Re: Help needed with ILR- old Work permit

Hi friends- I am a work permit holder and my work permit was issued in May 2006. I am due for ILR and I am bit worried about these news changes regarding the codes of practice. My lawyer says that this doesn`t apply to me as I am on old work permit, but from the Set(O) under the point 10B in page n...

Don't think there is any specific requirement, since you are obviously working, and have regular income, not like students who are required to have £800 when they extend their visa if I remember correctly.

Any correction if I am wrong please.

Assuming this 13th month pay is only paid at the end of year? which means it probably wouldn't show up on your 3 month payslip, then you'll just have to let your HR explain that on the letter AND bring your contract with you when applying.

1, you should go with "job discription" rather than "job title", find one that fits what you do most, doesn't matter the job title is different. 2, salary only counts basic 40hrs/week, don't think overtime or bonus is counted. not sure about car allowance. 3, once you get your IL...

I think if you explain everything clearly in the letter, it's very difficult for UKBA to find a solid reason to reject your application on salary ground.

@waijei2
If you are paid monthly, then you'll just have to apply without the raised payslip, but I would suggest consulting a lawyer.

If you are paid bi-weekly, then you can just pospone the application until after April 29th when you get your next payslip.

Did you pick one from COP that's similar to your job discription? I think you should be fine, since the rule says: 134 (iv) his employer certifies that he is paid at or above the appropriate rate for the job as stated in the codes of practice for Tier 2 Sponsors published by the UK Border Agency, an...

Just got a question myself, say my job title is not on COP, and there are two job titles on COP that are close to mine, A and B. However my current salary is only higher than A not B, so obviously I would use A in my application. Will UKBA then try to say actually B fits better, and because it's hi...
