To be on a safe side just get a letter + do take any boarding pass or ur ticket if you still have any to prove that you could have been here before but got delayed due to ur flight delay!

If you still have your Srilankan passport in date with a uk visa or ILR you can leave your British passport here & do your trip as a Srilankan. My friend recently done it. UK do not inform srilanka that you are British now. So Srilankan authorities are not aware of that. You may have to be care...

There is nothing to worry at all about because it is a PCN not an FPN. HO doesn't want to know about PCN.

FPN is fixed penalty notice... this is when you get points endorced on ur licence + fine.

No she can't... once u neutralize as a british citizen then she can apply on ur basis i.e. as a spouse of "british citizen" but only after 12 months from the date when she got her ILR.

They'll simply refuse to tell you the status of ur application. Many ppl recommend not the give them a cell as it doesn't make them work faster for making decision on ur app.

Yes you are right...if one gets 2 parking tickets during these 12 months he has to wait until the point where it reaches to 1 ticket in a year! No it won't delay if you have only 3 fixed penalty points in the last 12 months of ur application of neutralization... once you neutralize as british citize...

Unfortunately I wouldn't advice you to get JSA because ur application hasn't been decided yet e.g. if the decision doesn't come in ur favour and you go for an appeal then JSA will create a problem for u.
