Just wanted to update this old discussion. I appealed to First Tier tribunal last June but the case was dismissed unfortunately. The judge states in his letter: 1. My parents financial circumstances and resources not clear 2. Why my parents retired at early age of 58! (just ridiculous) 3. Why my par...

May this work out ? Advise needed please

I'm non-EU married to a Spanish national. We've lived in the UK legally with a Registration Certificate and RC since 2008. Prior to this we lived in Spain for almost 4 months and been in and out sever since. While in Spain I got my Tarjeta de Residencia (valid for 5 years). During a trip last year I...

Hi Morpheo,

Congratulations.

I'm in similar situation more or less. What documents did you include exactly in your application to show "financial dependency" for your sister here and parents overseas? Your help is much appreciated.

EEA student can support extended family members if they are financially dependent on him/her. This is bit difficult and I have never heard about a successful similar story. Back to my story .. I am lodging an appeal next week and currently drafting the statement. I will include: - Bank statements (o...

A quick update .. My parents applied for a 3rd EEA FP and was rejected again for vague reasons. We reapplied for a family general visitor visa and surprisingly refused again on the grounds my parents are not genuinely seeking a visitor visa and they don't intend to leave at the end of their visit !!...

Unfortunately the 3rd application for EEA FP was refused after 1 month waiting. The ECO on this occasion said that my father has other sons and 1 daughter who live in our origin country although I have been the "main" person who sends money regularly. The ECO did not consider any of the me...

It is going to be a challenging case indeed. I think it would be easier if they have come into this country on EEA FP rather than visitor visa, HOWEVER I have heard some rumors about similar cases of extended family members who succeeded in their EEA2 while on visitor visa. My ADVICE: do not let the...

Try www.wpa.org.uk and please note the higher excess you add the lower monthly premium you get.

Roughly you got to pay about 15-20 quid per month. This is the cheapest quote I get.

Well done to get a comprehensive sick insurance for all your family members even your non-eea spouse works and pays taxes. I think this is safer, at least this is what I did recently.

Keep us informed of your progress after you applied for PR.

Thanks

Mcovet, thanx for reply . I'd been hanging around and replied to your previous thread about your grandma !! Anyway let's stick to this post here. I was shocked when the first FP was issued with very little effort. It took less than 48 hours before the FP sticked on their passports. I only included o...

I have been trying to bring my father over to the UK. I am non-EU with RC. His application for FP was rejected twice on the grounds he is not dependent on me. I have been sending money to him and I included all the receipts with his F application but still no success. He has serious heart troubles a...

I just wanted to emphasis this point: What will happen if I bring my parents on a visit visa and apply for RC while they are here? What are the chances of refusal/approval?

Experts please .. Shall I go through that route or will I appeal and get them here on FP first?

Well. Good question and simply the answer I do not know. When the EEA2&3 were sent over we ticked the two boxes (student with a letter from her college - ESOL course one day per week, and the self-sufficient with some bank statements as proof). She was issued registration certificate on this fun...

Appeal or not to appeal .. that's the question .. help!!

Hi there, Quick story .. I am non-EU holding RC and in full time employment, my wife (the EU) is student/self-sufficient. We have applied for FP to bring my parents (who are dependent on me, financially and emotionally) to come across to the UK. The application was refused 1st time "no proof of...

Thanks Vinny. I am familiar how an EU national can qualify for legal residency in the UK. My concern was about receiving benefits. Because my wife qualified as either student or self-sufficient she has no access to UK benefits system (or at least as I can gather according to the caseworker instructi...

"Exercising Treaty Rights .." help from experts ne

Hi folks.. I really find this forum very helpful and wonder if I can get some advice from experts around .. My story in short: I am non-EU holding RC since Aug 2007 and apparently my wife is EU (Spanish) with a registration certificate. I am not sure how she is considered by HO as exercising her tre...
