Yeah.. the actual reason as written by the ECO was that 'Gross' was not mentioned even though it was in my contract and it can be worked out via my payslips... My MP received a response from Visa customer services stating that I did not submit payslips or bank statements as evidence of gross income...

Partner of a British citizen or settled person can apply for spouse visa. My wife did and we are still waiting for the decision.

Good luck with the application mate! My wife will apply for spouse visa in December and we have contacted a solicitor last months and for my surprise he advised us to fill the SU07 form. Looks like he has some experience in dealing with the Chennai Office case workers ;)

hold on, what was the HSMP visa issue date? when you entered the country is irrelevant (as long as you haven't taken more than 3 months). Recalculate from the visa issue dated.
