SET(LR) 10 year PEO - technical question when to apply

The app says: Please do not apply more than 28 days before completing the qualifying period. 1. Does this also apply to PEO applications, i.e. you can apply before the 10 years is up? 2. If so, what happens where, for example, you've been out of the country 175 days in the year leading up to the app....

Lost BRP when abroad

When you lose a BRP abroad, it says to report it to the police, cancel the card, and apply for a replacement (single entry) BRP. However, reading some threads here, it seems that a replacement BRP can take months. If I go for a weekend away to Europe, and my BRP is stolen, it's unreasonable that I c...

Re: Tier 1 (General) extension applications - PEO Experience

What would you say the average time it takes to receive a BRP?

My appointment is a Thursday but I have a flight the following Friday (8 days after). Wonder if it's too close?

Re: 10 Year ILR - continuous period clarifications

It doesn't have to be from an entry clearance, but why wouldn't it be? I can't see an example of where it you be to your benefit for it NOT to be a stamp date. re the second question, the form says: D2. When did you first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the ...

Re: 10 Year ILR - continuous period clarifications

I know there was talk of changing the rules on that one,
Thanks for that. Do you have any idea of what those rules were? I can't seem to find anything
(Just off the top of your head, don't bother to look it up :)

Re: 10 Year ILR - continuous period clarifications

Thanks, but the question is about clarifying the rules. They don't explicitly apply to me yet (I'm not in that situation), so I'll give more of an example. 1) Does any 10 year period count? E.g. I might have a valid 10 year block, say 2001-2011, but let's say I went away for a year in 2013 (breaking...

T1G Extension PEO - does it matter where?

Does it really matter which PEO you go to?
Croydon is convenient, but is it really that bad?

When do PEO appointments come online?

Does anyone know precisely when the next week's PEO appointments come online (for Tier 1(g))

E.g. Mon morning 6am? Sunday midnight?
Thanks!!

10 Year ILR - continuous period clarifications

Hello! Just two questions: a) Does any 10 year continuous period count? Or does it count 10 years until the date of application. E.g. If I satisfied the 10-year continuous period, but then go on a long holiday thus breaking the period (e.g. too many absences). Can I still apply based on the 10-years...

Re: Anyone having trouble finding Tier 1(G) appointments

Yes, sure, I can see on the site they haven’t released the appointments for the end of March (the last dates with which to renew Tier 1). Just that there doesn’t currently seem to be any spots free in Feb/March. So just wondered if this was normal. Any idea of when they release the block for the fol...

Anyone having trouble finding Tier 1(G) appointments

Trying to book close to the April cutoff, but clearly it's a popular time.
Anyone having luck finding PEO appointments for close to April?
The only ones showing up for me are early Jan, unfortunately.

Re: When to count 5 year ILR for T1 (G)

Thanks - I switched so was already in the UK.
So I guess the date of decision.

(only reason for asking is that they ask your age at date of application, so wondered if that was the benchmark)

When to count 5 year ILR for T1 (G)

Does the 5 years for ILR count of the date of your first Tier 1 (G) application (as it does when it asks your age), or 5 years from the date they decided (minus 28 days of course)?

Thank you

Any 10year successes with over 500 days absences?

I'll be eligible to apply next year, but I'm very close to going over the 540 day absences/10 years threshold.

Anyone heard of any cases going through with very high numbers of absences?
I imagine they scrutinize more closely at that stage.

Can we always renew a Tier 1 (G)?

If on a Tier 1 (G) - will we always be able to renew, assuming we meet the points requirements? E.g. if one might not be able to apply for ILR at the end of 5 years (e.g. due to issues of absences or something), can they just apply for another renewal? Or have I missed something? Also, do you think ...

ILR - what would you choose? 10 years or Tier 1 5 year?

Next year qualify to apply for the 10 year ILR in August, or the 5 year Tier 1 in March the year after. Wondering what you guys would go for?
