since you have a very good term with your employer, you can ask for a bonus to compensate your shortfall... bonuses can safely included into previous earnings for visa application...

You are not paying any tax on this advance..... the tax deducted at source is just the one supposed to be on the top of your future salary...
In other words, when your future salary will be reduced to adjust this "advance", your tax outgoing for that month will also reduce accordingly.

This can be potentially seen as Employer Loan and will be discounted from previous earning...
And, in true sense, this is indeed a loan which will eventually adjusted against your future salary by your employer...

on a side note, I sent my child's dependant application on 4th April (after 4:30PM) which was delivered on 8th April and UKBA accepted the application and sent the letter for BRP.

fortunately the fee was same.
I had added the fee in the form of postal order because UKBA clearly said on their letter about refunding the previous fee.

Also keep in mind, dependant applying separately from main applicant will pay same fee as of main applicant which is £1545 by post for tier-1 applicants.
Just want to keep you aware in case you applied before 6th April.

You dont need the documents mentioned against point 1,3,4 & 7.
The UK birth Certificate must be Full (which includes both parents name).

Yes, the baby need biometric details to be enrolled. It will be just a photograph (no fingerprints) till 6 years of age.

I had a similar issue 2 years back. UKBA sent the application back as invalid due to old photographs.
I sent the same application with another set of fees and added a covering letter with mention of pankina judgement (advised by a immigration lawyer).
UKBA issued the visa with no fuss....
