I understand that one cann't be outside UK for more than 6 months in total during a period of 5 years. ...

Doubt about filling VAF9 Form and Appendix 1 Form

Hi All, I am going to apply for Tier 1 visa from outside UK and have already filled the above mentioned forms. I need to clarify something (although it isn't a big thing). 1. VAF9 Form: Appendix A requires to mention supporting documents checklist. Due to short of space, I have mentioned the documen...

Many thanks Nanita, I was looking out for Appendix A but couldn't find it. I have read the table 3 and I have one doubt. I earned my UK salary on Work Permit Visa and not Tier 1 visa. Am I eligible to claim UK Ekperience points based on Work Permit Visa? I think I am, but I just want to confirm. Che...

Yeah that's correct.

The person who is physically working in UK cannot uplift his earnings from any other country. He can simply use the pounds sterling equivalent of his Indian earnings but not uplift it.

Hope it clears your doubt.

If you travel to UK within 28 days after your visa grant date AND you will not be outside UK for more than 180 days in next 5 years time, then you won't need to apply for 2nd extension for ILR. If any one of the above fails, then you will ahve to apply for 2nd extension, meaning that you can only ap...

Re: Doubts about Previous Earnings for Tier 1 Visa

I was able to clarify the first doubt about 12 months period in the guidance policy. It clearly states that "The applicant can claim points for previous earnings in any single, consecutive 12-month period during the 15 months immediately before the date of applying."

Cheers,
Ankit
