Can Tier 1 dependent show her funds for maintenance

Hi, I am applying for a Tier 1 dependent visa for my wife. My wife is working and her own account has sufficient funds available for her to meet the maintenance requirement. Can she show her own funds for maintenance or is it mandatory that the funds available should only be from the main applicant?

Hi Greenie, Thanks for the prompt reply. I did go through the page from the dependent policy guidance you mentioned and I have quoted the relevant section below. Sorry for being so pedantic but the guideline only mentions that NO employment is possible as a Doctor etc but does not say that any other...

Hi, I have a Tier 1 (General) visa and I am now applying for a dependent visa for my wife. Is the dependent of a Tier 1 allowed to work in the UK? I think they are but I have found nothing on the UKBA website to support this. I would really appreciate if someone could point out the relevant link fro...

Tier 1 (General) Extension Query

I have a valid Tier 1 (General) Visa expiring Jan 2013. However, due to family problems, I have still not moved to UK and it looks like I won't be able to move for another 6 months. @mulderpf : thanks for the response.
When you say, I wont be able to apply the uplift ration, do you mean that my salary in INR would be converted as is in GBP?

Can you point me to a website link talking in detail about extensions? I would really appreciate it.

Hi Scorpio_besal, VFS bangalore has informed me that they are not aware of any such process of change in date of visa. They have requested for an email from Cheenai embassy stating clearly that such a request would be entertained. Did you go through something similar? I have written an email request...

Hi scorpio_besal,
Thanks for the reply. Could you please send me a copy of the application that you wrote to the British High Commissioner.

Also, is their an extra fees for this?

If you don't mind me asking, what was the reason that you mentioned asking for delay?

I applied for a Tier 1 visa on 1st Dec, 2010. Going through UK border agency website, it looks the limit for December has been reached.
