Re: ILR fees -- which fees to pay

Thanks for the reply. However, the UKVI customer care that I talked to told me a) old fees but be prepared to pay the reminder b) absolutely. you will have to pay the difference at the counter in the premium center So, I am confused. Also, which form should I fill and carry. The new form has the new...

ILR fees -- which fees to pay

Hi, I have an ILR appointment (premium) on 10th May. I had taken this appointment on 4th April (before the increased fees had kicked in) and therefore had paid the old fees. Would I be asked to pay the increased fees when I go for the appointment? I have tried calling UKVI a couple of times and have...

Re: Indian Passport for new born baby in UK

Hi Ram, Are you and your wife and the baby going for the appointment? I think then you can choose the Family checkbox. Inside the online appointment, give your and your wife's passport number and in the OCI Registration number enter the birth registration number. The birth registration number would ...

Re: Indian Passport for new born baby in UK

Hi, I applied for my daughters birth registration on 25th September and was told to come and collect it in person after 7-8 days. However, there is an online link (http://indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in/IC_File_Current_Status.aspx) which shows the status of the registration process (requires MHA numb...

@ukquery : by the time, PEO glasgow replied I had already received my december salary. With my december salary added I made my qualifying points and therefore in order not to confuse them I refrained from showing my indian salary. However, it is perfectly acceptable to show Indian salary with a) pay...

UKBA called and apologiesd

So, I received a call from UKBA glasgow and they have now admitted their mistake. They said they have checked with the UK policy and they were in the wrong. The lady gave me a few options to correct it 1) A new date in Glasgow 2) Enrolling my case in yet to be released premium postal service where t...

PEO appointment - got one for self. Can solicitor now apply

First a little background of my case. I have a separate thread opened for that (http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=119787&highlight=) In brief, my visa expires on 4th Jan 2013. I got a PEO appointment on 1st Dec, 2012 in Glasgow which I duly attended. However, I was showing 4 month...

Are you paid salary in advance?
I don't see any issue (I am in a similar albeit a little different situation) but it would help if some senior could respond.

My opinion if you could get a letter from your company that they pay salary in advance.

@Lucapooka : Thanks for the prompt reply. I will get the statement from bank. The reason I was asking was in the guidance notes a notion of calendar month is mentioned and I was wondering if that has an impact on that.

Hi Everyone, I have a general query. My Tier 1 visa is expiring on 4th Jan 2013. I am trying to take the services of a solicitor to get me dates in the month of December but since UKBA is off for holidays my solicitor has informed me that dates are available only till 22nd. I have talked to multiple solicitors since morning and all of them are of the view that the case worker was at fault here. However, they are suggesting there is no point in complaint. I am really pissed at this. I spent close to 300 pounds to go to glasgow without any result. Now, the solicitors are...

@ukquery : If i go by what the case officer told me you should be fine.
Since you entered UK your visa was activated and therefore now if you go back to India you can put your indian salary.

However, I am not convinced he is correct. I think you can show your Indian salary either ways.
