Re: Can citizenship be revoked if out of the country for lon

I remember that there was a question in the AN application form, something like "In which country do intend to live after citizenship?"
I always thought the person should intend to live in UK otherwise why they would ask this question.

Re: payment by debit card

Thank you all for your help.

I called the bank and they told me that it is not possible to remove the block in advance (as Ken218 mentioned). However, they think the payment should be processed without any problem.

Thank you again.

Hi All, I plan to pay for my BC application (£906) by Lloyds VISA debit card. I am worried that the bank may block the payment for security. I was thinking to call the bank to allow payment but I do not know the exact date that the Home Office will take the money from my account. Did anyone pay with...

Re: BRP (Tier 1) used for life in the UK test

I have been searching through the posts and did not find a recommended advice. Some people suggested to write an additional information in the application form that the BRP (Tier 1) used to book the life in UK test was retained by the Home office and thus cannot be provided. I have a copy of the BRP...

Re: BRP (Tier 1) used for life in the UK test

Thank you WR1 for your help. I already passed the life in the UK test and I registered with BRP. I do not plan on sitting another test. But in the AN application form, they ask for the ID that I used when I took the life in UK test. I assume that I onlt need to use my passport as an evidence of iden...

BRP (Tier 1) used for life in the UK test

Hi All, I just noticed that I used my Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) based on Tier 1 for the life in UK test. At the day of the test, they asked for BRP and a document to show the address (e.g. bank statement, driving licence, council tax...). I used a bank statment. My BRP was taken by the Home O...

Re: COUNCIL TAX

I have the same concern. I have been living in a shared accommodation where I pay rent to the landlord who is living in the same house. Do UKBA check the council tax record for the house (as a whole)? I assume that if he is not paying the council tax, the council would have evacuated the house or to...

British referee (originally foreigner)

Hi All, I got alarmed when a friend of mine discouraged me from including a British referee (a university lecturer) who is originally Asian or African or.... He believes that a pure British referee would further strengthen my application. Does any one have experience with this and can advice please?...
