Well after seven months of waiting we got a refusal. Basically because my partner holds residency in Spain and this means our daughter doesn't have to leave the Union. I'm hoping to take this to court as where do they expect we get the money and how will my daughter be able to see her father?? Also ...

Asking for a friend who is currently in Ireland. He holds LTR in Spain (being there more than 10 years) How long can he be outside of Spain without losing his residency. He is from Mauritania.

We are still waiting six months later although we do receive acknowledgement letters.

He had a spanish residency card but he is not an eu citizen so it wouldnt make much difference. I know three egyptians in my local area and I live in the countryside. I wouldn't rule out the chance just write up the best application you can and pester them until you get it

Yes, in my letter I stated that he could stay with me in my house and that I would feed him and that he had a european health card from living in spain that would cover any medical expenses. He got a multiple trip C class tourist visa

DOC44 that surely can't be correct as the reply I was issued with was to go get a visa and enter the state. Once your hear and apply they can't make you leave. Thats the advice I got from every solicitor!

I'm Irish. But yes, did live in Spain on and off for a while. He has entered France, Germany, Portugal before on Residency card long before baby was born.
I dunno I'm starting to think that maybe they thought he had the right type of card and didn't want to argue further!

For any other non residents, how are you getting around this utility bill demand? My partners here on a c class (tourist) visa and were being asked for utility bill. Obv. can't provide one so be interesting to here if any non residents have succeeded yet?

He has permanent Spanish Residency

I live in Ireland and he is here too because we've put in a residency app.

He's not my husband btw, but we do have an Irish born daughter together.

For our baby whose three months we got a letter from GP (also local TD) to confirm that the baby was indeed living in the state and also stating that the father plays vital role by taking her for appointments, etc.,
