Travelling up North??

My hubby has recently found a friend from his home country is living up North and he'd love to go up and visit him for a weekend.
Hubby has stamp 4 residency.
Does he need a visa to cross the border? Or can he just head up? Any ideas?

Irish Embassy in Morocco - Visa Application

Hi All, Just wondering if anyone had any experience of applying for a single trip visa through the embassy in Morocco? For instance waiting times for them to review your application. I only have experience with Madrid and found them to be very slow, they just didn't want to send on my application. T...

Re-entry Visa - Previous Passport?

Hi everyone, My partner was granted his residency in January this year. He needs to go collect a certificate for a course he completed last year so we applied for a re-entry visa by post as we live outside of Dublin. We sent the application form, 2 passport photos, postal order of the fee, passport ...

On ours it was that my partner held Spanish Residency so our child would never have to leave the union basically. Not surprised that the Government would try that angle. It is perfectly arguable too in light of the specific facts and reasoning in Zambrano and the difference of attitudes in Dercei (...

Irishmigrant, have you not received any correspondence since the 1st of June? We did receive an acknowledgement letter and a few other letters since then up until we received decision. Have you contacted a solicitor? I would be inclined too if you are being ignored.

Thanks for replying. Yes he has considered applying for Spanish Citizenship and he would be the first to admit he was a fool not to do it when he was in full time employment. Unfortunately the company he worked for went bust and he was made redundant, he hasn't had full time employment since. His fr...

Ok back again, my partner has permanent residency in Spain, he has been there over 10 years. The exercising treaty rights has me quite confused. By just going to Spain is that exercising or would I need to be there for any amount of time? At the moment, it's really out of the question but no harm in...

You are correct, he is only a resident of Spain. He holds no citizenship in any EU countries. I can not at the present time go and live in Spain. Without going into too much detail, I suffered a lot of post birth complications with my daughter and some of which I still suffer with today. We currentl...

Thanks fatty patty, I was looking at it from the point that in Dereci they were not young children, I'm not too well informed on it but I think they are all over 21 in Dereci?

Am waiting to hear back from the solicitor to decide what option we will take.
