I could be wrong, but I don't think it will affect people who already work and live in the UK, as they already make a contribution via tax and N.I. From what I can surmise, it will be targeted at people who will have slightly longer term visas but are not necessarily here to work e.g students. I can...

Hi, Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a short extension and I doubt that the Home Office would be sympathetic to your case, as it is a one rule applies to everyone sort of thing. Just a suggestion, if you are willing to leave, why can't you leave the country say in November, when you are stil...

Hi,

In the approval letter you got, there is an email address to contact if you haven't received the BRP after a fixed amount of days.

Look for the letter and send an email to the address explaining your situation and providing your details

If it is £200 and not thousands of pounds, I think it is reasonable to pay that amount for a year to use the NHS.

Hopefully, this would apply to everyone and not a subset of foreigners like they are proposing for the bond for high risk countries.

Whilst I understand that this is not yet set in stone and there will be more discussions before this finally sees the light of day, I am curious to know how they will quantify the amount to be paid i.e someone going to the GP for a flu and someone going for a more serious condition.

Hi,

Couple of questions before I can give a detailed response:

1. Why don't you just go for an early extension by applying now?

2. What visa is your husband on?

I guess it would apply to both, but specifically our mum. To find out if it would apply to your sister, you must answer the following questions? 1. Is your sister gainfully employed? 2. Does she own property? Basically what ties her to her home country, as you need to prove beyond all reasonable dou...

It is false, as it is being debated on but has not been passed into law.

No one can give you any more details until it is approved/altered or rejected.

If you require links for the story, then use google, as there are lots of stories about it online.

There is nothing wrong in doing any kind of job. The issue I was trying to point out is that when you get paid overseas and you are physically based in the UK, it makes the application more complex for the case worker, as they would need to verify earnings from another country which can be cumbersom...

Hi, Seeing as she has no strong ties i.e no job, no property and so on, it will be quite difficult to prove that she plans on going back to her home country after the visit. This is not to say that it is impossible, but the onus would be on the applicant to convince them without any doubt of the int...

Why can't your friend ask the question himself? If he has used such earnings before and they were accepted, it stands to reason that the earnings may still be accepted again as long as he has concrete proof to validate these earnings. I have never really understood why people complicate their applic...

Hi, You need to be specific and give dates for people to help out i.e. when was the sponsorship withdrawn and how long have you overstayed? How will switching to a student visa help you out in your current situation? The student visa will not allow you to work full time. I also find it strange that a...

While I can understand trying to do what is necessary to reduce overstayers and net migration, this scheme seems to be somewhat discriminatory, as it focuses primarily on asians and africans. If they would like to implement such a scheme, then it should be a blanket scheme and not specifically targe...

Hi,

Tier 1 General Visa is closed, so you will be unable to apply for this visa whether you are in the UK or outside.

You need to have a look at http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/ and see if you qualify for a visa in any other categories and apply accordingly.

What exactly do you want the MP to do?

Obviously they are trying to call your clients to verify a few things. Nothing to worry about, just be patient and after the verification, you will know what the outcome is.

In addition to what Sheraz has already said, ensure that your name, account details and address are also clearly shown on the top of each page and the stamp is clearly visible on each page.

I have used such printouts before with stamps on all pages and was successful, so you should have no issues.

No one can tell you for certain if it will be okay.

As long as you have supplied all the right documents and everything is legit, then you will get it. No need to worry, just relax

Good luck
