Spouse visa

On behalf of my British friend. He has a permanent job, but cannot afford to pay his rent in London. He want to ask his local housing Benefit for help to contribute toward his rent at least 50% every month.

Here is my question:
Getting 50% help from Housing Benefit will affect his wife spouse visa?

If you were sentence to 6 months or less, I presume you are fine. please check the The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. If you got divorce dont worry, your child is british, just make sure that you have access to your child. You still have a good chance of getting your DLR because of connection in UK

Nothing to be worry, very easy and simple. I `ve got a irish born child and we live in UK. the last time I renew her passport through the irish Embassy in london was in mid 2010 and they send me the passport within 5 weeks.

I am sorry to say so, I dont think these peolple are well train to deal with our applications. they should atleast give them some basic training with such thing like what kind documents require for british spouse, refugee, EU Citizen when applying for Brtish citizenship.

Definetely sure your friend fall under the legacy. there is no way to be granted under the Legacy if you are outside the UK.
