Re: FLR M financial requirement and others

I do not want to register the children as British citizens because my country does not allow them to have dual citizenship. Besides, I read that I have to wait for a year before registering them. No you don't have to wait a year, this is only relevant to children born abroad. Children born in the U...

Re: FLR M financial requirement and others

Aghh, I should have done a proper research on this instead of listening to friends' advice. Registering the kids as citizens would save me about £2k. But, my kids have passports from my country, they are not allowed to have dual citizenship, shame! I will get advice from the embassy on this tomorrow...

Many thanks for your quick reply. I do not want to register the children as British citizens because my country does not allow them to have dual citizenship. Besides, I read that I have to wait for a year before registering them. The only route we could consider is either FLR(M) or FLR(FP), should w...

Re: FLR M financial requirement and others

Hello, Many thanks for your responses. 1. I got ILR from long residence, after 10 years on student visa, in March 2017. My wife and one child have been on PBS student dependent visa since 2011. Two other children were born in the UK in 2012 and in 2014, and they have been on PBS student dependent vi...

FLR M financial requirement and others

Hello, I have had ILR permit since March 2017 and would like to sponsor my wife and 3 children as their PBS visas are due to expire next month. I've done a bit of reading on financial requirements and other aspects on this forum, but would like to hear your views. 1. My wife passed the English A1 te...

Correct visa application form used?

Hello All, I would like to know if I have chosen the correct application form for my parents' visitor/tourist visa application or not. I invited my parents to come and visit us (my family) in London for a period of up to four weeks. I have a settled status (ILR). Since both my parents do not speak E...

Re: Making ILR dependent application

Many thanks! My wife and the first child have been in the UK for the past 6 years on Tier 4 dependent visa. Are these years counted towards their ILR application on the basis of LR if they extend their stay on FLR(FP)? Say 6 years on Tier 4 dependent visa + 4 years as dependent on FLR(FP)? I hope th...

Making ILR dependent application

Hello, My ILR has recently been approved on a 10 year LR basis. I live with my wife and three children in the UK (since 2011), and we are planning to apply for their dependent visas at the end of July 2017. I've the following questions if you could spare a few minutes to read: 1. We will need to use...

ILR SET (LR) appliation form question

Hello, I hope someone will take a few seconds to answer my simple question. I am filling in SET (LR) form and I need quick help with two identical questions from the form. These are D11. Please state what ties you have with: The country where you were born. Any country whose nationality you hold. An...

Re: ILR LR using GP records

I have various letters including bank statements for the years between Jan 2007 and Dec 2016. However, I do not have anything for the first 4 months (Sep-Dec 2006) of my stay in the UK. Bank statements are available from Jan 2007 only. I lived in all inclusive privately rented accomodation and have ...

ILR LR using GP records

Hello,

I've ordered my medical records 3 months ago from NHS England but I've yet to receive them. I was wondering if I could use my GP records instead? Will UKVI consider my health records from my GP showing the dates of my GP attendance, description of problems etc.?

Thank you!

Re: ILR 10 year long residence, no previous passports

Hello, Yes, it is hard to stay on student visa for so long, but my PhD was funded for 7 years and I worked as a part time lecturer at universities on generous pay contracts. I do not have doctor's letters but I will have my full medical records included in the application, I hope this will be fine. ...

ILR 10 year long residence, no previous passports

Hello, I've lived in the UK for 10 years on student visa (unexpected turn in my life made it possible to live on student visa for so long), and want to apply for ILR permit now. In the past 10 years, I've renewed my passport twice. I do not have my previous passports as my government retained them e...

Re: From Tier 4 to ILR long residence

ESOL is no longer accepted and has been removed from the HO approved list. She could switch visas next year but she should not travel out of the UK as she risks being refused entry due to her visa technically not be valid due to you applying for ILR based on long residence. Trinity college has yout...

Re: From Tier 4 to ILR long residence

Another quick question, can she remain in the UK on her current visa after I get my ILR? She is currently on Tier 4 dependent visa, it will expire in July 2017. If she can, then, I should get her to go to college to continue studying ESOL or any other English language course for beginners. We could ...

I will see, I will need to find mock tests and try, perhaps available on the internet. Do you know of any source?

Re: From Tier 4 to ILR long residence

The choice is yours. If you choose to apply for ILR based on long residence, your dependents will have to apply to switch to FLR(M) and your spouse will need the English test (currently level A1) and you will have to meet the financial requirements. Thanks, the only issue I have is my wife's langua...

From Tier 4 to ILR long residence

Having secured funding for PhD course, I ended up staying in the UK for 10 years, hopefully in Sep 2016. I've a job offer with potential Tier 2 sponsorship. I have four dependents (one adult and three kids) living in the UK with me. I am a bit undecided as to what to do next: 1. Should I apply for I...

It appears like John Smith :))), no middle name. In BRP cards, surname should be first, then the rest should come next?

BRP error

Hello, I received my son's BRP card back in December and recently realised his name was in reverse order on the card. The full name itself is correctly spelled out, no errors. It is just not put in a correct order. Usually, surname is first and then first name is printed on the card, but this order ...

Re: MPhil Or PhD which is better?

That 12 month visa is a type of student visa with a work permit, basically, your uni should be willing to sponsor your stay for further 12 months on a full time work basis. So it is still a tier 4 visa. If this is the only motive for doing phd, your friend may possibly be wasting funds as the job ma...
