Got two letters from UKVI

Hello,

I've received two letters on the same day: one says I should post my documents before a certain date, and the other says I should provide my biometrics info at a post office.
I am puzzled as to what to do. Can anyone help?

Tried to phone UKVI - no luck.
Thanks

Re: MPhil Or PhD which is better?

I am doing PhD and it is hard to get to the bottom of it - if you feel like being able to finish it in time, you should go for PhD, assuming you have funding. Mphil is a master's degree. You cannot compare apples with oranges. PhD has the rewards in terms of economic benefits, status etc.

Tier 4 online application error

I managed to make an error in my Tier 4 application form and only noticed it when prompted to pay for Immigration health surcharge. I put my family name in the slot for "Given Name" and my given name in the slot "Family Name", what an embarrassment. Does anyone know what I should...

Re: how to inform UKVI about passport renewal

Thanks. Spoke with a friend who renewed their passport in a host country and had a BRP. They came back to the UK and then informed the UKVI of the change. There is no info regarding this on UKVI web site.

Re: Tier 4 online application form

I got this one sorted, apparently there is an option to choose postal application or premium service, though it was not obvious in the beginning.

how to inform UKVI about passport renewal

Hi, We are traveling back to my country for passport renewal. After renewing the passport we should inform the UKVI of this change, but how can we do it outside the UK? We could update the UKVI of the renewal once we come back to the UK, but the info on BRP would be about the previous passport, not ...

Re: Child depedant travel document not available

Yes, many countries, including my country (Uzbekistan) will start issuing passports to children under 18. But the visa application still has an option that can be selected if a child is named on parent's passport.

Re: Child depedant travel document not available

Re: Child depedant travel document not available

Yes, he does. Also a passport. Thanks, then my question is, In the application form, there is a section asking for a travel document. Because my son does not have one as yet, can we just apply without a travel document? To get the BRP, my son needs a birth certificate, does not he? We will get a pa...

Thanks vinny, my child is born in the UK, but we have a birth certificate from my country and the UK and we plan to travel later early next year. I guess, to come back to the UK, he needs visa?

Child depedant travel document not available

Hi All, My 1.5 year old boy is not named in any of our passports yet as we have not had travel plans, he was born in London and has his birth certificate only. The Tier 4 online application form has a question regarding travel documents, I ticked "No" when asked if my child has a passport ...

Tier 4 online application form

Hi All, I am in the process of filling in my details on Tier 4 online forms. I realised that the next step is to "book an appointment". I want to post my docs instead of paying double the price of postal applications for the premium service. I was wondering if I am using the correct form o...

passport renewal

Hi there,

I am on Tier 4 visa. I've renewed my passport last month, is there any requirement or a time limit within which I should notify UKBA about this change?
Also, is there any form to post to UKBA with the update or should I just write a letter to them?
Many thanks,

Re: Tier 4 status extension

Hi, Thanks for your replies, I was not aware of the transition to online application system when I made this post, the last time I applied for extension was three years ago and I have 4 dependants, thought would be a hassle with paperwork. Anyway, thanks for the info. I should probably not worry abo...

Re: further extension, PhD study

Hi, Thanks, yes, it appears there is no cap on Postgraduate research study and it is not included in the 5 year cap - spoke to the uni's student welfare officers yesterday. My worry was the fact that I have already spent 8+ years studying in this country and Home office would not extend my stay any ...

further extension, PhD study

Hi, I came to the UK in September 2006, ever since I have been on student visa. Started with diploma course and currently, I am a PhD student. I have been phd student since January 2010 and I am expected to complete the course by 1 November 2015. As you can see, by the completion date, I will have d...
