ILR for spouse

Hi, Background, I got my ILR via the Tier 2, 5 years stay route and since have got my british citizenship. My wife was on a tier 1 until 05/06/2012, then extended her stay on a 'spouse/partner leave to remain' visa. I need to confirm if my understanding is correct. 1. My wife is on the 'spouse/partn...

Is british national not an EEA national

Hi All, I have been looking to get a french visa for my wife. The site says she doesnt need a visa if the biometric permit says 'family member of EEA national'. My wife's card says 'Spouse of person with ILR' (she got the spouse visa when I was on ILR). I called UKBA to see if we could change her pe...

tourist visa for spain

Hi all, I needed to clarify whether my wife will need a visa to travel to Spain with me for holidays. Basically, the website says that she can travel if I accompany her as long as she has a valid residence permit. When we applied for her residence permit, I was on indefinite leave to remain (Permane...

does spouse visa need to be changed

Hi,

My wife applied and got a spouse visa when I was on ILR. Now that I have a passport do we need to change anything on the spouse visa.

I am not sure because the visa says 'spouse/partner with ILR'. Does it have to be changed to say she is a spouse of a BC.

Thanks guys for replying. I was thinking of printing of emails from that day. It has my location in the signature.

Just curious though, the document check list on the UKBA website doesn't ask for anything. Is it just the NCS guys overdoing things?

5 years requirement

Hi All, Quick question. I am using the NCS to apply for naturalisation. They have asked me to get proof that I was in the UK on the date 5 years prior to the application. Has anyone given any proof for this. I assumed that the case worker would look at my entry exit dates on the passport and make th...

hi,

anyone submitted the NARIC certificates for FLR(M), could you please respond with which service I need to use on the website. Is it just the English language or the comparability one as well.

THanks

ok, thanks. Last question.

Is it the 'Statement of Comparability' or is it the 'English Langauge Assessment' service.

I think its the latter but I keep seeing these posts where people have got two letters from NARIC, not sure what the second one is for?

The problem is that there is no PBS calculator for Spouse visa where I can select the University and Course, even though I used that for the Tier 1 visa.

Sounds silly that we have to show proof for a course that was already approved during the Tier 1 application.

Hi, Thanks for this. Have been going through the details. Quick question though. Regarding the English language qualifications, do we still need to get a letter confirming this. My wife is already on a tier 1 (her qualification was already listed on the UKBA site when she had applied for Tier1). I c...

All, Apologies if this query has been posted before. Please feel free to redirect me. Below is my case: I have ILR now. My wife is currently on Tier 1 which expires on 1st July. We are both here in the UK. Can she apply for a spouse visa, instead of extending her Tier1? What are the time lines for v...

Thanks guys, disappointed with this. There is an update to the calculation for the continous residency on the UKBA site. Could someone check this and let me know if I may be eligible now if I can show that I was working for the same company in India who I was working for here

Hi All, Apologies if a similar query has already been answered to. Please guide me to the post if it has. I came to UK on a one year WP in Dec 2005. This was valid till 30/Nov/2006. I went to India on leave and got a new WP (since the existing permit would have expired before leaving for UK) valid f...
